Vangelis (gr. Βαγγέλης), właśc. Ewangelos Odiseas Papatanasiu (gr. Ευάγγελος Οδυσσέας Παπαθανασίου; ur. 29 marca 1943 w Agrii koło Wolos, zm. 17 maja 2022 w Paryżu - grecki kompozytor muzyki elektronicznej i filmowej. Vangelis urodził się 29 marca 1943 roku w Agrii koło Wolos, w Grecji. Edukację muzyczną rozpoczął w wieku 4 lat, a już w wieku 6 lat miał swój pierwszy publiczny występ, na którym prezentował własne kompozycje. Vangelis był w dużej części samoukiem - odmawiał pobierania lekcji gry na pianinie, a w ciągu swojej kariery nie zdobył formalnej wiedzy na temat notacji muzycznej. Uczył się muzyki poważnej, malarstwa i reżyserii filmowej na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Atenach. Zyskał światową sławę dzięki swoim wyjątkowym, często epickim kompozycjom, które łączyły elementy muzyki elektronicznej, symfonicznej i rockowej. Rapsodies to studyjny album Vangelisa nagrany we współpracy z grecką aktorką i wokalistką Irene Papas. Ukazał się pierwotnie w 1986 roku, a następnie wydano jego remastered edition (zremasterowaną wersję) w 2007 roku; materiał łączy tradycyjne pieśni i hymny greckie z elektronicznymi aranżacjami Vangelisa, utrzymanymi w klimacie mistyczno-liturgicznym.

Na nowej płycie duetowi z USA i Kanady puszczają wszelkie hamulce. Znajdziecie tutaj rzeczy świetne, straszne również, a do tego kompozytorską brawurę połączoną z ułańską fantazją. Pierwsze trzy albumy Worm były jak najbardziej poprawnym i dobrze wymyślonym, ale w gruncie rzeczy nieco statecznym death/doom metalem. Zespół robił wszystko, jak należy - ciskał w słuchacza ciężkimi riffami, oblekał je w zamaszyste melodie, a mimo tego brzmiał po prostu fajnie, lecz nie zachwycał. Rewolucja przyszła z EP-ką „Bluenothing”, gdzie do tego zrobaczałego krajobrazu dołączyły wątki blackmetalowe i gęsto eksponowana gitarowa wirtuozeria. Materiał z 2022 roku dał grupie więcej uwagi słuchaczy od poprzedników, więc nic dziwnego, że „Necropalace” ma bliżej akurat do niego, a nie na przykład do „Foreverglade”. Tegoroczne dzieło Phantom Slaughtera i Wrotha Septentriona jest pełne wszystkiego. To kraina sera, rzeczy powszechnie uznawanych za przestarzałe, zajeżdżające naftaliną, a przy okazji też dobrych riffów.

BANISHER został założony w Rzeszowie w 2005 roku przez Huberta Więcka (DIETH, Acid Drinkers (live), ex-Decapitated). Ich wszechstronną muzykę można określić jako nowoczesny death metal, muzycznie dojrzały i zaawansowany technicznie, a jednocześnie z porywającymi i chwytliwymi riffami, intensywną perkusją i agresywnym, wściekłym wokalem.
