Garbate Aniołki to polski zespół wykonujący muzykę punk i reggae, powstał w 1990 r. w Radomsku.
Założycielami zespołu byli Robin (bas) i Siwy (gitara i wokal), do których dołączył wkrótce na perkusje -Tyran. Pierwszy koncert, zimą 1991 r. w Miejskim Domu Kultury, skończył się skandalem i zakończeniem po wykonaniu pierwszego utworu. W kolejnych miesiącach Garbate Aniołki, zajęły się tworzenie repertuaru i graniem lokalnych koncertów, w tym też okresie doszło do zmian personalnych i nowym wokalistą została Olka. Zespół wystąpił w ramach „otwartych drzwi”, w przesłuchaniach do Festiwalu w Jarocinie, a materiały z przesłuchań zostały zarejestrowane. W Jarocinie, Garbate Aniołki zagrały na małej scenie, a po występie posypały się oferty kolejnych koncertów w całej Polsce. W tym okresie doszło do kolejnych zmian personalnych-zespół opuścił Siwy, który w 1993 r. powrócił do kapeli w charakterze perkusisty. Zespół zakończył działalność w 1994 roku. Ostatni koncert zagrał w swoim rodzinnym mieście – Radomsku. Od tamtej pory Garbate Aniołki już nie zagrały... aż do 2015 roku, kiedy to zespół zagrał koncert z okazji 20 lecia nie istnienia zespołu. Po czym Garbate Aniołki wznowiły działalność. Wstawka zawiera drugi album studyjny zespołu.

Kaleko Urdangak to punkowy zespół z Kraju Basków (Hiszpania), który powstał w 2011 roku z inicjatywy członków radiowego programu oi-punkowego Kaleko Mobida. Grupa wywodzi się z Bergary i tworzy muzykę w klimacie Oi!, skinhead rock’n’roll i punka, łącząc surową gitarę z energiczną rytmiką i tekstami śpiewanymi po baskijsku, hiszpańsku i angielsku. Ich debiutancki album Eman Bai! (2012) przyniósł krótkie, energetyczne utwory o tematyce kultury, życia ulicznego i osobistych doświadczeń. W kolejnych latach Kaleko Urdangak kontynuowali działalność wydając kolejne EP-ki i płyty, m.in. Bizirik (2021) oraz EP Haria eten ez dadin (2025), a także występując na koncertach i festiwalach, co ugruntowało ich miejsce na scenie punk-Oi! w Hiszpanii i poza nią. Wstawka zawiera split z zespołem 4 Anai.

Vangelis (gr. Βαγγέλης), właśc. Ewangelos Odiseas Papatanasiu (gr. Ευάγγελος Οδυσσέας Παπαθανασίου; ur. 29 marca 1943 w Agrii koło Wolos, zm. 17 maja 2022 w Paryżu - grecki kompozytor muzyki elektronicznej i filmowej. Vangelis urodził się 29 marca 1943 roku w Agrii koło Wolos, w Grecji. Edukację muzyczną rozpoczął w wieku 4 lat, a już w wieku 6 lat miał swój pierwszy publiczny występ, na którym prezentował własne kompozycje. Vangelis był w dużej części samoukiem - odmawiał pobierania lekcji gry na pianinie, a w ciągu swojej kariery nie zdobył formalnej wiedzy na temat notacji muzycznej. Uczył się muzyki poważnej, malarstwa i reżyserii filmowej na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Atenach. Zyskał światową sławę dzięki swoim wyjątkowym, często epickim kompozycjom, które łączyły elementy muzyki elektronicznej, symfonicznej i rockowej. Mask został wydany w marcu 1985 roku. Był to ostatni album, który wyprodukował dla wytwórni Polydor. Jest to utwór dramatyczny w sześciu częściach, o nieco mrocznym nastroju i klasycznym stylu, który rozgałęzia się na style etniczne.

Doskonały, debiutancki album grupy to jedno z najlepszych dokonań włoskiego progresywnego rocka. Klimaty Jethro Tull i starego Genesis - z licznymi, nagłymi zmianami nastrojów, mnogością instrumentalnych partii i czytelnymi aranżacjami.
Zremasterowana włoska reedycja z 2024 roku.



The first release from QUELLA VECCHIA LOCANDA and in my opinion one of the all time Italian prog greats. This excellent debut album has a strong PFM-like attitude with loads of violin and classical themes. Songs are delicate and exceptionally well performed with warm precision. Imagine great 70's sounding keyboard work layered with flute, violin and great guitar work and you have got QVL. As you listen to this album four toes will be tapping and you hands will be moving as this music captivates your motor reflexes. QVL draw on some pretty heavy classical interludes to build their music on. Along the way we are treated to many thematic mood swings and tempo changes. This album has many standout tracks which combine the classical underground 70's Italian sound with a solid blend of tranquility and beauty. Vocals are very expressive and are full of harmonic textures.

What can I say, this album is beautiful. It's a must have. The melodies are so beautiful, the flute and violin work is exceptional, its full of energy...as a composer myself this is an album I can really appreciate. I think the last piece on here is especially gorgeous. And the whole album feels like such a beautiful story...I'm not the kind of person who can explain music with words too well, since I see music as its own language, its own world, and within that world this album tells quite a tale. But really, just stop reading this review and listen to the album if you haven't already.

Czy tak brzmiałoby Joy Division dzisiaj, gdyby Ian Curtis wciąż żył? W międzyczasie (40 lat) pewnie słuchałby także bluesa, szczególnie takiego nieoczywistego, zabrudzonego i pozbawionego claptonowsko-dżemowej otoczki, elektroniki najbardziej poszukującej, awangardy, techno i mrocznego songwritingu. Chyba.
Ani John ani Mateusz nie są artystami bluesowymi, niekoniecznie mogą być zakwalifikowani do sceny stricte elektronicznej, właściwie to nie można ich raczej zaszufladkować, zdefiniować i zakmnąć w jednym określeniu. Z ich wspólnej płyty wyłania się szczególnie trudne chyba zadanie dla dziennikarzy i recenzentów, ale bardzo przyjazne dla słuchaczy, którzy nie muszą niczego nazywać, określać, definiować, systematyzować.
Legenda głosi, że John Donatowicz i Mateusz Rosiński poznali się 10 grudnia 2011 roku w nieistniejącym już klubie Zielona Jadłodajnia w Zielonej Górze. Zieloną Jadłodajnię przez kilka lat z pasją do jedzenia i muzyki prowadzili Ciocia Roma i Wujek Gusstaff. To właśnie wtedy, po solowym występie The Human Elephant, podczas wspólnych rozmów o muzyce padła propozycja wspólnego djowania i poznania się bliżej. Można powiedzieć, że pierwszy wspólny utwór Elephant Dials powstał również w 2011 roku, nigdy jednak nie został skończony, a następnie umarł wraz z dyskiem komputera. Niedługo potem Rosiński wyjechał do Gorzowa, gdzie otworzył wydawnictwo Dym oraz klub Sejf wspólnie z Fabianem Błauciakiem, a John wciąż mieszkał w berlińskim Neukölln. Od czasu do czasu, panowie grali wspólne dj sety to w Berlinie, to w Gorzowie czy Zielonej Górze, wciąż rozprawiając o wspólnej muzyce. W 2017 roku zmęczony Berlinem i głodny Polski (sic!) John osiedlił się w Gorzowie, w końcu ma polskie korzenie. W pandemiczne lato 2020, Rosiński i Donatatwicz zarejestrowali ścieżki na płytę w gorzowskim Sejfie, dawnej łaźni miejskiej. Na nastrój muzyki niewątpliwie wpłynął charakter poniemieckiego miasta, które jest tak piękne, że nie przeszkadza nawet jego brzydota, a w centrum często śmierdzi gównem. Jako że drożdże muszą wyrosnąć, materiał przeleżał kolejne półtora roku. Zimą 2022 Rosiński założył kask, zmiksował i dopracował utwory, które następnie zostały zmasterowane przez Mateusza Wysockiego. Tak powstała płyta Elephant Dials - Binary Blues, którą z radością Państwu prezentujemy. Lepiej późno niż później!

John Edward Donald, podpisujący się także jako John J. Donatowicz nagrywa głównie jako Human Elephant (płyty wydane przez Umor Rex, DYM i Don't Sit On My Vinyl) ale możecie znać go także jako wokalistę i gitarzystę projektu Rats Live On No Evil Stars (Gusstaff Rec.), który współtworzył z Berndem Jestramem z Tarwater. Od kilku lat mieszka i tworzy w Polsce.

Mateusz Rosiński, często ukrywający się po pseudonimem Wrong Dials, to postać na scenie elektronicznej dobrze rozpoznawalna. Założyciel Dym Records, klubu Sejf a także członek zespołów Niepokoje Gościnne i Dynasonic.


Would this be what Joy Division would have sounded like today if Ian Curtis was still alive? In the meantime (40 years later) he would probably also listen to blues by now, especially the not obvious, dirty and devoid of clapton-jam-like atmosphere, the kind seeking out far-out electronics, avant-garde, techno and dark songwriting. I guess.
Neither John nor Mateusz are blues artists, they may not necessarily qualify for the strictly electronic scene, in fact, they cannot be pigeonholed, defined and encapsulated in one term. Their joint album shows a particularly difficult task for journalists and reviewers, but very friendly for listeners who do not have to name anything, define anything, define or systematize anything.

Legend has it that John Donatowicz and Mateusz Rosiński met on December 10, 2011 in a now non-existent club in Zielona Góra run by the founder of Gusstaff Records. It was then, after the solo performance of The Human Elephant, during joint discussions about music, an offer was made to DJ-ing together and get to know each other better. It can be said that the first joint song Elephant Dials was also written in 2011, however it was never finished, and then it died along with the computer disk.
Soon after, Rosiński left for Gorzów, where he later started Dym Records and the Club Sejf. From time to time, the gentlemen played common DJ sets in Zielona Góra, Gorzów and Berlin, sharing a common language in music. In 2017, John, tired of Berlin and his hometown Chicago, hungry for Poland (sic!) had settled meanwhile in Gorzów. It is worth mentioning here that the artist has Polish roots. In the pandemic summer of 2020, Rosiński and Donatowicz recorded tracks in Gorzów at Sejf, a former municipal bath.

The mood of the music was undoubtedly influenced by the character of the post-German city, which is so beautiful that even its ugliness does not tarnish the image, and in the city center it often smells like shit. Just as the yeast has to grow, the material laid dormant for another year and a half. In the winter of 2022, Rosiński put on a helmet, mixed and refined the pieces, which were then mastered by Mateusz Wysocki. This is how the album Elephant Dials - Binary Blues was created, which we are happy to present to you. Better late than later!
John J. Donatowicz, formerly John Edward Donald, records mainly as Human Elephant (albums released by Umor Rex, DYM and Don't Sit On My Vinyl) but you may also know him as the vocalist and guitarist of the Rats Live On No Evil Stars project (Gusstaff Rec.) which was co-written with Bernd Jestram of Tarwater. For several years he has been living and working in Poland.

Mateusz Rosiński, often hiding under the pseudonym Wrong Dials, is a well-recognized figure on the electronic scene. He is the founder of Dym Records, the Sejf club and a member of the bands Niepokoje Gościnne and Dynasonic.
