Morrissey, właśc. Steven Patrick Morrissey (ur. 22 maja 1959 w Manchesterze) to angielski wokalista i autor tekstów piosenek. Lider i autor tekstów zespołu The Smiths. Zespół odniósł wielki sukces, ale rozpadł się w 1987 roku, a Morrissey rozpoczął karierę solową, w czasie której dziesięciokrotnie trafił do Top Ten UK Singles Chart. Jego pierwszy solowy album Viva hate wszedł w 1988 roku na pierwsze miejsce UK Albums Chart. Jest uważany za prekursora muzyki indie. Magazyn „New Musical Express” uznał Morrisseya za jednego z najbardziej wpływowych artystów w historii, zaś „The Independent” ocenił, że „największe gwiazdy zwykle są już martwe, zanim osiągną status ikony, on jednak osiągnął to za życia”. Splat! to 24 album studyjny angielskiego zespołu hardrockowego Deep Purple, wydany 3 lipca 2026 roku. Jest to szósty album nagrany we współpracy zespołu z producentem Bobem Ezrinem, który wyprodukował każdy album Deep Purple od czasów Now What?!, a także ich drugi album z gitarzystą Simonem McBride'em. Nowy, najcięższy od lat album Deep Purple to nostalgiczna wyprawa w przeszłość. Miłośnicy klasycznego hard rocka, szukający na współcześnie wydawanych płytach znajomych rzeczy, z pewnością znajdą tu wiele dla siebie. Jednak poza nawiązaniami do dobrze znanych klisz, "Splat!" ma niewiele więcej do zaoferowania. Trafiają się przyjemne riffy i melodie, a z rzadka nawet jakiś mniej spodziewany pomysł aranżacyjny, ale bywa też topornie, melodycznie miałko czy nawet nieco kiczowato. Kompozycje to w najlepszych momentach co najwyższej poziom tych średnich fragmentów "Perfect Strangers", a wykonanie jest całkiem przyzwoite, ale bardzo zachowawcze. Skompresowane brzmienie zdecydowanie nie poprawia odbioru.

Edukację muzyczną rozpoczął w wieku 4 lat, a już w wieku 6 lat miał swój pierwszy publiczny występ, na którym prezentował własne kompozycje. Vangelis był w dużej części samoukiem - odmawiał pobierania lekcji gry na pianinie, a w ciągu swojej kariery nie zdobył formalnej wiedzy na temat notacji muzycznej. Uczył się muzyki poważnej, malarstwa i reżyserii filmowej na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Atenach. Zyskał światową sławę dzięki swoim wyjątkowym, często epickim kompozycjom, które łączyły elementy muzyki elektronicznej, symfonicznej i rockowej. Wstawka zawiera album kompilacyjny.
