Sony are to release The 1974 Live Recordings a massive 27-disc box set that features all professionally recorded shows from Bob Dylan and The Band’s 1974 tour.

The box set offers fans 417 previously unreleased live tracks – including 133 recordings newly mixed from 16-track tape, and every single surviving soundboard recording.

In 1974 Dylan toured live for the first time in eight years and reunited with The Band, who since they last performed live together (in 1966) had released six albums and played Woodstock and recorded with Bob (The Basement Tapes, Planet Waves).

Dylan and The Band performed 30 dates in 42 days (often playing two sets per day) and recordings were captured on a stereo soundboard mix, on both quarter-inch tape and cassette. By tour’s end, Asylum Records’ David Geffen had commissioned recordings on multi-track tape, for eventual release on Before the Flood. The 1974 Live Recordings includes it all of these and the shows that were recorded on 16-track tape are newly-mixed for this box set, which comes with with new sleeve notes by Elizabeth Nelson.

Infernal War to powstały w 1997 roku (początkowo działał pod nazwami Quintus i Infernal SS) polski zespół wykonujący szybki i brutalny Black Metal z wpływami Death Metalu. Na koncie mają miedzy innymi kilka splitów (na przykład z Kriegsmaschine), dwie EPki (w tym "Conflagrator" prezentującą nieco inne oblicze zespołu) i przede wszystkim trzy pełniaki. Muzycznie mamy tu do czynienia z bardzo szybki i intensywnym (blasty, blasty i jeszcze więcej blastów) Black Metalem z wyraźnymi naleciałościami Death Metalu. Ludzi odpowiedzialni za zespół udzielają/udzielali się także w innych mniej lub bardziej znanych projektach, między innymi Iperyt, Thunderbolt, Deus Mortem czy Voidhanger.

Przypadłość w przypadku nazwy ta sama, co w Blut Aus Nord. No próbują po niemiecku, a nie umiom, i kończy się to tak, że jak ktoś zna przynajmniej trochę ten język, to się w głowę puka. Ci przynajmniej mogą się tłumaczyć, że podpierdolili nazwę od Lovecrafta, pisarza niezwykle popularnego wśród metaluchów, który był odrobinę grafomanem, ale dość uroczym. No i też nie miał pojęcia o mówieniu i pisaniu po niemiecku. Stąd taka nazwa.

Płyta wydana w 1971 roku przez Polydor, nie miała niestety żadnej promocji i zupełnie przepadła na ówczesnym rynku. Dodatkowo dwa utwory z singla.

This baby is granted to take some serious doses from the listening time of dedicated thrash heads. Whereas Executioner's Song and Evil Invaders threatened to become repetitive in spite of their attack, which kicked out any wuss trying to face them, and Malicious Intent was a damn solid accomplishment with a more pummeling recording style, Custom Killing is Razor's most ambitious album ever, and their most colourful offer.

I will have to admit that Survival Of The Fittest didn't sound at first as a total winner, but from the second minute, boy, did I change my mind. Razor have an amazing sense of epicness and progression. Everything seems to be more dramatic and solemn than on their previous works, though the riffing style is recognizable enough, and very fast riffs galore. Maybe M-Bro isn't the ultimate deliverer of fills and rhythm changes, but he doesn't get lost in the fire of battle. Not to mention that the bass player ends the guitar riffs with his own special lines, although sometimes you just get the impression that he's trapped within a certain register.

All the songs are winners, actually, except Russian Ballet, which could've been spared (though that weird fade-out part in the ending is worth mentioning), and there aren't noticeable letdowns if it comes to the instrumental part. Forced Annihilation, Last Rites, Going Under and White Noise are definitive Razor classics, where the band doesn't cease to bring wonder upon the listener with the great pile of riffs and gallops and a few absolutely old-school sounding solos (without that wah-wah abuse found on Shotgun Justice's solos), and even Stace McLaren shows that he can actually SING!!!! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, he is alive and singing, and his vocal prowess is worth every bit of praise on Last Rites, washing the shit off Shootout, where he fails to impress. What about the lyrics? This needs to be taken into consideration. The lyrical themes are so varied. From the ol' angry thrash youngster, to meditations on the future of humanity and even medieval-flavored lyrics. Even the recording, with its unpolished aspects, remains adequate and somehow "intimate", if I could say so. Like a band in the rehearsal room, all alone against the non-underground suckers' ears, it appropriates the listener more to the band and to the music.

All in all, a quality and underestimated album from one of the top bands in thrash metal. Not a Spectrum Of Death or an Eternal Nightmare, if you ask me, but still a mandatory listen.

Długo oczekiwany drugi album ICON OF EVIL. "Locust Cathedral" przynosi osiem premierowych kompozycji w tym cover Amebix pt. "Chain Reaction". Album jest pozycją obowiązkową dla fanów takich zespołów jak: BOLT THROWER, DEICIDE, HELLBASTARD, SACRILEGE.

ICON OF EVIL to death metalowy zespół z Wrocławia powstały w 2011 roku. Znany jest z brutalnego brzmienia i zaangażowanych tekstów, które często poruszają tematy społeczne i polityczne. ICON OF EVIL ma na koncie debiutancki album Syfilis Mentalis z 2013, splity z The Bold And Beautiful (2011) i The Dead Goats (2015) oraz wydaną w 2020 imienną 7” epkę, które zdobyły uznanie zarówno w Polsce, jak i za granicą, cementując ich pozycję na scenie death metalowej.

"Locust Cathedral" zarejestrowano, zmiksowano oraz poddano masteringowi w Soundscope Studio przy udziale Jarka Wysockiego. No i po jedenastu latach przerwy, nie licząc pojawienia się na splicie z The Dead Goats i epki „Icon Of Evil”, Wrocławianie powrócili z pełniakiem, który nieźle kopie w dupę. Dwójka tej dolnośląskiej kapeli to siedem numerów staroszkolnego death metalu plus niespodzianka na zakończenie. „Locust Cathedral” to mocne uderzenie kłębiących się masywnych riffów, z których wytrącają się ostre jak brzytwa tremolo. Te masywne struktury płyną dość szybko przed siebie, miażdżąc i mieląc, a siłę tych czynności wzmacniają tęgie bębny i nieustępujący im wagą bas. Charakter tych nieustępliwych form wyraźnie przypomina najlepsze produkcje Vader, ale nie tylko, bo Icon Of Evil ustami Mokrego łączy je z podwójnymi wokalami, które brutalnym growlem i opętańczymi wrzaskami zdecydowanie kojarzą się z Deicide. Ta fuzja zrodziła atletyczny death metal z diabolicznym płomieniem, który podsycany jest przez krótkie, piskliwe wtrącenia na podobę rzeźbienia po gryfie Trey’a Azagthoth’a. Jednakże nasi muzycy nie poprzestają tylko na ostrej i wyrafinowanej jeździe do przodu, ponieważ potrafią również zwolnić i przejść w średnie tempa, gniotąc i bujając niczym Bolt Thrower, jak w czwartym wałku „Colossus”. Swoją najnowszą płytę urozmaicają także poprzez piątą kompozycję „Creeping Corruption”, w której niszczące miarowo akordy tasując się ze schizoidalnymi zagrywkami, zalatują mistycznym i hipnotyzującym na całego klimatem. Po tych dwóch przełamaniach panowie wracają na poprzednie tory częstując nas dotkliwym wpierdolem w postaci „Depths Of Scorn” i „We’re The Plague”. Najnowsze wydawnictwo tej wrocławskiej brygady zamyka nieco odstający od reszty cover Amebix „Chain Reaction”, który ciekawie zinterpretowany przez Icon Of Evil w sumie całkiem dobrze wpasowuje się w „Locust Cathedral”, nawiązując swą aurą do atmosferyczności wspomnianego wcześniej „Creeping Corruption”. Bardzo dobrze wyprodukowany materiał o wysokiej selektywności, lecz nie pozbawiony brudu i szorstkości. Inteligentnie skomponowany z gracją daje w mordę. Jak na moje nędzne ucho to światowy poziom, co udowadnia, że polski metal śmierci nie ma się czego wstydzić. Nie ma chuja… musicie posłuchać!
