...SIŁA I PIĘKNO MUZYKI TKWIĄ W JEJ RÓŻNORODNOŚCI...

Nowy Las Trumien to najbardziej wyczekiwana przez mnie płyta pierwszego kwartału 2023. Zespół, który gdzieś długo umykał mojej uwadze i poznałem go dopiero po wydaniu EP „Więcej Śmierci”, ale jak zaskoczył, to na dobre.

Drugie pełne wydawnictwo, czyli „Głód Zabijania” weszło mi jak piwo w upalny dzień i mimo że się wiele nie zmieniło, to jest o czym opowiadać. Jeśli ktoś nie miał nigdy styczności z twórczością Las Trumien, to warto zaznaczyć, że jest to zespół w pewien sposób koncepcyjny. Każdy numer opowiada mianowicie o jakiejś tuzie ze świata morderców, gwałcicieli, dewiantów lub psychopatów. Tym razem „gwiazdy”, o których opowiadają utwory to między innymi Bogdan Arnold, Hieronim Cybulski, Rudy Eugene czy Anatolij Onoprijenko. Historie te podane są w sludge/doom metalowym sosie. I niby nic się nie zmieniło, a jednak… Ja tu wyczuwam coraz więcej inspiracji. Muzycznie mamy większe zróżnicowanie niż na poprzedniej płycie. Mamy sporo rocka, znacznie częściej słychać też czyste wokale. Mamy motywy punk/crustowe w „Wiosna w Miami”, czy inspiracje black metalem w końcówce „Gość w dom”. Daje nam to poczucie materiału znacznie bardziej szerokiego muzycznie. Nie zawsze mi to w 100% odpowiada, ale zasadniczo widzi mi się wychodzenie poza pewną strefą, w jakiej zespół siedział do tej pory. Choć dla mnie jednak Las Trumien to głównie te mordercze opowieść. Można w nich odczuć klimat snutej przy ognisku w środku lasu opowieści o grasującym w okolicy zwyrodnialcu. Podobają mi się też motywy, w których opowieść snuta jest w pierwszej osobie. Bardo dobrze to wychodzi i chciałbym więcej takiego klimatu. Wokalnie płyta to 10/10. Niesamowitą paletą głosów dysponuje Pan Wojciech. Ja nie mogę się doczekać, gdy zobaczę numery z tego wydawnictwa na żywo. Moje ostatnie doświadczania „live” z tym zespołem pokazuje, że to nie tylko uczta muzyczna, ale Pan Wojciech aktorsko też bardzo dobrze sobie radzi, a mając w repertuarze numery z „Głód Zabijania” będzie maił jeszcze większe pole do popisu. Nie jest to może płyta idealna, ale ile ona daje mi satysfakcji z odsłuchu… Ciężko się oderwać.

Dla mnie materiał zdecydowanie wart polecenia. Może nie płyta roku, ale bardzo poważny kandydat do tytułu najczęściej słuchanego przeze mnie krążka 2023.

Pathologist



Nie musiałem długo czekać na nowe od Lasu Trumien. Zespół poznałem z miesiąc temu, a tu już listonosz zapukał do drzwi, przynosząc cieplutki, jeszcze parujący „Głód Zabijania”, czyli kolejny tomik opowieści o zwyrolach nim opętanych. Tym razem mamy możliwość poznania historii kioskarza z Lwowa, kierowniczki ośrodka spokojnej starości czy seryjnego mordercy całych rodzin, Antonija Onoprijenko. Tak jak nic się nie zmieniło w koncepcie lirycznym zespołu, tak i muzyka utrzymana jest po raz kolejny w podobnym klimacie. Znajdziemy tu zatem mocno bujające harmonie sludge/stoner/doomowe z odrobiną naleciałości punkowych. Tych ostatnich jest nieco więcej niż na debiucie, co mnie osobiście bardzo cieszy, bo to przełamywanie zajeżdżających ziołem melodii d-beatem idealnie mi ze sobą współgra. Największą zaletą muzyki Lasu Trumien jest, jak banalnie by to nie zabrzmiało, komponowanie dobrych piosenek, jednocześnie naszpikowanych sporą dawką sączącej się z nich trucizny. Panowie potrafią nieźle pokołysać ciężką melodią, połechtać chwytliwym refrenem czy zaskoczyć patentem niekoniecznie oczekiwanym. Cokolwiek by się jednak nie działo, cały czas czuć tu ten, że tak to określę, śpiewny ciężar. Posłuchajcie sobie choćby „Pstryk Pstryk”, który to bardzo mocno zajeżdża klasyką Cathedral, i postarajcie się nie potupać odruchowo nóżką i nie pośpiewać „Pstryk pstryk, zrobię z ciebie gwiazdę…”. To Se Ne da, jak mawiają za naszą południową granicą. A jak już przy śpiewaniu jestem, to W.K. znów popisał się całą gamą tonacji, od niskiego śpiewu, poprzez agresywny krzyk, aż po rejestry wyższe. I poza jednym wyjątkiem (a chodzi mi tu o refren w „Złe Wieści”, który dość mocno drażni mnie swoją fałszującą linią melodyczną) doskonale podkreślają tematykę tekstów. A na pewno są bardzo emocjonalne. Muzycy, w swoim zwyczaju, postarali się by ich materiał był maksymalnie spójny i pozbawiony wypełniaczy. Ponadto, czerpiąc z klasyki, wygenerowali własny styl, dzięki czemu ich piosenki można już zgadywać po trzech nutkach. Podsumowując zatem, jeśli poprzednie wydawnictwa Ślązaków to były wasze wibracje, tym razem rozczarowań też nie będzie. Las Trumien to w swoim gatunku już sprawdzona marka i można brać ich kolejne propozycje w ciemno.
