Od premiery ostatniego albumu kultowej death metalowej formacji Autopsy mija już sporo czasu. Nie dziwi więc fakt, że zespół ostatnimi czasy postanowił podkręcić trochę tempo w kwestii pracy w studiu nagraniowym. Rezultatem tejże pracy będzie wydawnictwo „Morbidity Triumphant”, które na rynku zadebiutuje pod koniec września bieżącego roku.

Nadchodzący krążek formacji Chrisa Reiferta ujrzy światło dzienne 30 września spod skrzydeł brytyjskiej wytwórni Peaceville Records. „Morbidity Triumphant” będzie ósmym albumem w dyskografii Autopsy, a także pierwszym wydawnictwem w historii zespołu, na którym usłyszeć będziemy mogli partie basisty Grega Wilkinsona. Muzyk dołączył do zespołu w 2021 roku zastępując Joe’a Trevisano.

Dodać warto, że dla Wilkinsona nie jest to pierwsza współpraca z Chrisem Reifertem. Muzycy pracowali już bowiem razem m.in. w ramach death/doom metalowego projektu Static Abyss. O tym jak wyglądała współpraca panów przy tworzeniu nowego materiału Autopsy, Chris wypowiedział się w następujący sposób:

Praca z Gregiem przebiegała tym razem zupełnie inaczej, aniżeli przy materiale Static Abyss. Spowodowane było to głównie tym, że Autopsy to kompletny zespół z własnymi, wcześniej ustalonymi sposobami pracy. Po prostu wprowadziliśmy go do zespołu i spowodowaliśmy, że zaczął pracować na nasz sposób. Wyszło mu to na tyle dobrze, że dołożył od siebie część muzyki, która idealnie pasowała do reszty kompozycji znajdujących się na albumie.

Since first bursting onto the death metal scene with the now genre classic ‘Severed Survival’ back in 1989, and following up with the equally revered ‘Mental Funeral’ album, the influential US quartet has carved an unwavering legacy over three decades as masters and purveyors of the vile sides of the extreme metal spectrum. And now, Autopsy marks its reinvigorated return, presenting the first new full-length studio opus since 2014’s ‘Tourniquets, Hacksaws and Graves’ with ‘Morbidity Triumphant’; a savage offering of brutal death, showing the US legends still have an unbridled hunger for the sadistic, never reluctant to step beyond the threshold of decency.

‘Morbidity Triumphant’, the band’s eighth album, is truly a dark delight for seasoned and new listeners alike, with a raw organic sound perfectly encapsulating what makes Autopsy so distinguishable among its peers, for what could easily be considered one of its strongest offerings to date.

The driving force of Autopsy as ever is the virtuoso guitar pairing of Eric Cutler and Danny Coralles, effortlessly trading off their schizophrenic leads and switching from all-out death metal madness to groove-laden heavy doom, with unmistakable drum/vocal legend Chris Reifert being master of proceedings, spewing his own infinitely creative maniacal musings. ‘Morbidity Triumphant’ also notably marks the first album to feature new bassist Greg Wilkinson, currently also seen in Static Abyss along with Chris.

‘Morbidity Triumphant’ was recorded at Opus Studios, with long-associated engineer Adam Munoz at the helm. Mastering was completed by Ken Lee.

Beyond the Black – niemiecki zespół muzyczny wykonujący metal symfoniczny/power metal.

Formacja została założona w 2014 roku w Monachium w składzie: Erwin Schmidt (gitara basowa), Tobias Derer (perkusja), Nils Lesser (gitara), Christopher "Christo" Hummels (gitara), Michael Hauser (instrumenty klawiszowe) oraz Jennifer Haben (śpiew).

Zespół po raz pierwszy na żywo pokazał się na festiwalu Wacken Open Air w 2014 roku. Supportowali także trasę koncertową zespołów Saxon i Hell.

Debiutancki album grupy zatytułowany Songs of Love and Death ukazał się 13 lutego 2015 nakładem wytwórni muzycznej Airforce1 Records. Nagrania były promowane teledyskiem do utworu "In the Shadows". Wydawnictwo dotarło do 12. miejsca niemieckiej listy przebojów - Media Control Charts. 13 maja 2015 zespół wyruszył na swoją pierwszą trase koncertową po Niemczech, zahaczając 23 maja 2015 o festiwal Wave-Gotik-Treffen.

Drugi album studyjny zespołu, zatytułowany Lost In Forever, pojawił się 12 lutego 2016 i zawiera 13 nowych utworów. 15 lipca 2016 ogłoszono, że Jennifer Haben i reszta zespołu rozstają się. Niemiecka wokalistka postanowiła jednak nadal śpiewać dla zespołu pod niezmienioną nazwą, ale za to z zupełnie nowym składem.

31 sierpnia 2018 zadebiutował trzeci studyjny album zespołu, o nazwie Heart of The Hurricane, nagrany wraz z nowym zespołem. Na nowym krążku znajduje się 15 utworów. Od października do grudnia 2018 zespół odbył trasę koncertową po wielu europejskich krajach, w tym odwiedził Polskę, jako support przed występem Within Temptation w ich trasie promującej nowy album. Pomiędzy październikiem i listopadem 2019 planowana jest europejska trasa koncertowa Beyond The Black, jednak tym razem na liście odwiedzanych krajów nie znalazła się Polska. W grudniu 2020 w Warszawie odbędzie się kolejny koncert zespołu (wspólnie ze szwedzkim zespołem Amaranthe).
