After a 15 year absence, these Norwegian veterans are back with an amazing album of strong songs--so well constructed and composed as to have both spaciousness and density, great melody and harmony, uniquity and cleverness, as well as an outstanding vocalist in Kjetil Nordhus and great sound production.
1. "Leaves of Yesteryear" (8:03) opens with the metal sounds and ANATHEMA-like keyboard atmospherics we expect before shifting into a more ULVER-esque ominous spaciousness. The dominant metal riffing sounds like a cross between URIAH HEEP and OPETH. Weak chorus. Nice FLOYDian interlude in the middle. Turns full-on Death Metal at the six minute mark, but then returns to a more symphonic heavy prog style for the finish. (13/15)

2. "Sentinels" (5:42) BLACK SABBATH-like simplicity to the heavy opening, turns a speed corner at 1:10 into more modern metal style for the chorus section. Cool guitar play with syncopated chords and space in the middle before falling back into a machine gun chorus section. Clever codas here and there to transition from Sabbath section to bullet-pace and back and forth. (8.5/10)

3. "My Dark Reflections of Life and Death" (15:35) nice slow, spacious, ominous intro before everybody comes crashing in at 2:12 with an alien spacecraft synth in the lead. This switches to electric guitar in the fourth minute as the hard-driving music continues to establish itself. At 3:30, then, there's a pretty little interlude barely containing a lot of potential energy. Then Kjetil begins singing as the band comes back to full throttle. Some cool textural shifts going on beneath his singing. Everything comes to a standstill at 5:30 for some spacey synth notes before Kjetil burst into the fray with a deep tenor and the slower-paced metal chord progression accompanies him. Another standstill at 7:10 which gets filled by a distant-sounding rolling bass and then treated electric piano. Kjetil's John Wetton voice returns with some tom-tom play and piano arpeggi with the bass and synths before a nylon string guitar's up-sliding arpeggi take over. By the end of the tenth minute, the four-chord organ-led heavy metal progression and Kjetil's projecting voice return but then there is another shift into more symphonic palette for a RIVERSIDE-like guitar solo and singing section. This pattern continues, building in intensity, with both singing and instrumental sections, until 13:15 when an almost disco beat establishes to enter a full-on multi-instrumental metal onslaught in which Kjetil does not return until the final 45 seconds. Certainly a labyrinthine song. (27/30)

4. "Hounds" (10:09) great simplicity for a metal song with great melodies and other hooks (including Kjetil's strikingly-similar GREG LAKE voice). My favorite song on the album. (18/20)

5. "Solitude" (5:05) piano, acoustic guitar and gentle background keys and bass are not what you expect from one of the innovators of the metal world early 21st Century. Nice song but never really goes anywhere special. (8.5/10)

My first impression is that Kjetil Nordhus must have been taking GREG LAKE/JOHN WETTON elocution/singing lessons over the past 15 years: the similarities at times are uncanny.

B+/4.5 stars; a near-masterpiece of progressive rock music--and a great comeback from these long-absent veterans.

W 2025 roku wydali debiutancki pełny album „Vending Machine” - dziewięć utworów łączących ska-punkową energię z opowieściami i zmianami stylistycznymi. Sad Snack zdobyli uznanie na scenie Bay Area i poza nią, występując na koncertach lokalnych i festiwalach oraz zdobywając nagrody na scenach niezależnych, np. tytuł „Best Ska” w klubie 924 Gilman.

Blame It On Edd to brytyjski zespół ska-punkowy z Portsmouth, aktywny na początku lat 2000 (ok. 2001-2006). Ich muzyka łączyła energiczny punk rock z rytmiką ska, a całość miała wyraźnie polityczny i społecznie zaangażowany charakter. Zespół funkcjonował głównie w podziemiu sceny DIY, udostępniając swoje nagrania za darmo w internecie (m.in. przez Myspace). Wśród ich najważniejszych wydawnictw znajdują się „Original Sin” (2002) oraz „Milk The World” (2005). Choć Blame It On Edd nigdy nie zdobyli szerokiej popularności, pozostają zapamiętani jako reprezentanci zaangażowanej, brytyjskiej sceny ska-punkowej z początku XXI wieku.

Na początku było Framauro, wkrótce przeistoczyło się ono w zespół, który za nazwę przyjął sobie słowo, przyprawiające o ból głowy każdego kto próbuje znaleźć cokolwiek o tej formacji w Internecie – Millenium. Pech chciał, że na przełomie 1999/2000 roku nie pisało się o niczym innym a na domiar złego firma Microsoft tak właśnie nazwała jeden ze swoich okienkowych produktów. Zapomnijmy jednak o tych trudnościach… pierwsza płyta, zatytułowana po prostu „Millenium”, ukazała się w 1998 roku i choć dziś Ryszard Kramarski traktuje ją raczej jako zamknięcie rozdziału pod szyldem Framauro to fakt faktem, na okładce widnieje już nowa nazwa zespołu. Jak się potem okazało był to jedyny krążek krakowskiej formacji, który ukazał się wyłącznie w języku polskim (kilka lat później w dwóch wersjach anglo i polskojęzycznej pojawił się album „Reincarnations/Reinkarnacje”). Rok 2000 przyniósł „Vocandę” – album, który pod względem jakości i poziomu nazywany jest prawdziwym debiutem Millenium. „Reincarnations”, które swoją premierę miało w roku 2002 niestety nieco rozczarowało, niby wszystko było na miejscu, ale czegoś brakowało, dwa lata później Świat został uraczony krążkiem „Deja Vu” i jak już sama nazwa wskazuje zawierał on kompozycje starsze, jeszcze z okresu „przedmillenijnego”, podane w nowych aranżacjach. Wyszedł bardzo ciekawy krążek, który zawierał kilka wyjątkowych utworów jak chociażby niesamowite „Drunken Angels”. „Interdead” z 2005 to znów delikatny spadek formy ale statystycznie biorąc, po nim można się było spodziewać czegoś udanego. Tak tez się stało, a krążek o nieludzko długim tytule „Numbers and the Big Dream of Mr Sunders” okazał się strzałem w dziesiątkę. Millenium dojrzało, a w dość hermetycznym stylu, w jakim zespół się obraca, udało im się nagrać album, który musiał przypaść do gustu fanom neoprogresywnego rocka. Dodajmy do tego interesujący koncept i wiadomo, że tą płytę fan tego rodzaju grania powinien mieć na swojej półce. Rok 2008 przyniósł album „Exist” – opowieść o człowieku od okresu płodowego po śmierć, płytę wyjątkową bo zawierającą jedynie cztery, za to niezwykle rozbudowane utwory. Zespół przełamał zasadę nagrywania na przemian płyt dobrych i nieco słabszych i postawił przed sobą nie lada wyzwanie na przyszłość.

Z punktu widzenia fana brakowało tylko jednego – koncertów!! Tyle albumów, tyle niezwykłych dźwięków i nic – Millenium uparcie pozostawało tworem studyjnym. Wszystko zmieniło się po sukcesie ostatniej płyty. Presja fanów stawała się coraz większa a i w samych muzykach zaczął kiełkować pomysł na sceniczne występy. 30.10.2009 w krakowskim DK Tęcza zespół pojawił się w końcu „live”! Jak się okazało, była to przymiarka do rejestracji materiału DVD, która to nastąpiła 11.12.2009

Dziś wszyscy, którzy wówczas byli na koncercie, ale i ci, którzy nie mieli okazji w nim uczestniczyć mogą zaopatrzyć się w wydawnictwo, które podsumowuje ponad dziesięcioletnią karierę zespołu. „Back After Years” to swoiste koncertowe „best of” – trafiły tu utwory z każdego (poza debiutanckim) albumu grupy a w nowych, koncertowych odsłonach ukazały one swe nowe barwy. Kameralna sala, rewelacyjne oświetlenie, Łukasz Gall w roli frontmana (mózg zespołu – Ryszard Kramarski ulokował się w kąciku po lewej stronie sceny) oraz świetnie dysponowani muzycy stworzyły razem nie lada widowisko!

Dość ciekawy montaż pozwala chłonąć muzykę płynącą z głośników (wydawnictwo posiada mix 5.1) z prawdziwa przyjemnością. Zapewne znajdą się malkontenci wytykający niedostatki tego wydawnictwa, ale czy o to tu chodzi? To DVD to jedna z niewielu okazji do poznania Millenium w wersji „live” – a jak widać na ekranie, zespół jest spragniony sceny i koncerty wychodzą im niezwykłe.

Całość wydawnictwa uzupełnia wywiad z każdym muzykiem zespołu, dowiadujemy się z niego o preferencjach muzycznych, ulubionych wykonawcach ale i nie tylko, jest też fragment z sali prób (takiej sali niejeden polski zespół może pewnie pozazdrościć) oraz całkiem spora ilość zdjęć.

Cóż mogę powiedzieć? To że lubię Millenium nie jest tajemnicą i fakt, że zespół zarejestrował oraz wydał DVD niezwykle mnie ucieszył. Po „Back After Years” można sięgnąć bez obaw – jak się okazuje i Polacy potrafią nie oglądając się na trendy i mody grać neo prog na najwyższym poziomie.

Stało się, kolejne techniczne monstrum ujrzało światło dzienne. Co więcej, "Multi-Dimensional Fractal-Sorcery and Super Science" jest tak dobry, że już po pierwszych seansach z nim zaliczam Gigan do czołówki zespołów prezentujących pokrzywione podejście do death metalu.

Trójca technicznego i niekonwencjonalnego grania już w komplecie. Oprócz Gorguts i Ulcerate, do gry wchodzi Gigan wraz z kosmicznym "Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery and Super Science". Już tytuł mówi sam za siebie.

Trzeci album Amerykanów to totalne wariactwo, prezentujące zupełnie inne podejście do tworzenia aniżeli Gorguts czy Ulcerate, do których Gigan często jest porównywany. Pierwszym charakterystycznym wyróżnikiem jest tempo, w jaki formacja wyrzuca z siebie całe twórcze wyładowanie. Jest to bardzo szybki materiał, miejscami zahaczający o grindcore w stylu Cephalic Carnage ("Electro-Stimulated Hallucinatory Response"). Wcześniej doszło do zmian w składzie kapeli, za perkusją zasiadł Nate Cotton, szaleniec znany ze współpracy z math/grindcore‘owcami z Bedlam Of Cacophony, a co za tym idzie, jego techniczny i zabójczo szybki warsztat przekłada się na najnowszy majstersztyk Amerykanów. O przykłady nietrudno, gdyż wspomniany styl gry opanowuje niemal cały album. Wyraźne piętno niepohamowanych podwójnych uderzeń stopy i grawitacyjnych blast beatowych uderzeń daje się we znaki na przykład w "Influence Through Ritualistic Projection". To niezwykle techniczne podejście do chaotycznego grania, a przy okazji agresywne i wściekłe, niepozostawiające miejsca na kompromisy.

Zmiany nastąpiły także za mikrofonem. Johna Collet zastąpił Eston Browne, nie naruszając pierwotnej aury charakterystycznej dla Gigan. Tak naprawdę, jedynym pierwotnym członkiem i uczestnikiem wszystkich astralnych podróży muzycznych formacji jest gitarzysta Eric Hersemann, którego wariackie rzemiosło na najnowszym albumie sięgnęło zenitu.

Niech pierwsze minuty rozpoczynające album was nie zwiodą, niepozorny początek to jedynie cisza przed burzą. To pokręcona muzyka, wpadającą w ucho, a jednocześnie drażniąca umysł. Riff wielokrotnie pojawiający się "Electro-Stimulated Hallucinatory Response" swoją melodyką i chwytliwością natychmiast zapisuje się w pamięci słuchacza, a "Mother of Toads" męczącymi słuch partiami urywa głowę. Gigan perfekcyjnie zadbał o to, by zachować równowagę między sferą ciężką do przetrawienia, a partiami swobodnych wywodów muzycznych. Mamy tutaj także momenty z klasycznymi rytmami, pozwalającymi na rytmiczne kiwanie głową, co w przypadku produkcji zahaczających nawet o mathcore jest unikatem ("Cosmic Triangular Communications").

Każdy utwór urozmaica niekonwencjonalna wstawka, raz jest to dźwięk spawanego żelaza, czasem mamy wrażenie wsłuchiwania się w dźwięki kosmosu, lub psychodeliczny bełkot człowieka, a w wieńczącym płytę "Electro-Stimulated Hallucinatory Response" pojawia się przyjemna ambientowa partia. To najbardziej niezwykłe zwieńczenie podróży wśród wszystkich najbardziej oczekiwanych albumów niekonwencjonalnego death metalu wydanych w tym roku. Mogę jedynie mieć nadzieję, że ostatni kwartał 2013 roku przyniesie jeszcze jakąś niespodziankę, równie dobrą co "Vermis", "Colored Sands", czy "Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery and Super Science". Warto zapoznać się z tym tryptykiem lecz ostrzegam, po jego przesłuchaniu już nic w waszym życiu nie będzie takie same.

Gigan nie odpuszcza! Gigan atakuje ponownie ze zdwojoną siłą! Po intrygującym „Quasi-Hallucinogenic Sonic Landscapes” przyszła pora na Multi wymiarową magię fraktalną i super naukę. Przerost formy nad treścią? Oj nie, nie! Panowie tworzą ścieżkę dźwiękową do filmu o szeroko pojętej schizofrenii, zjadaniu ludzkich kończyn oraz wbijaniu gwoździ głową. Oni są jak epidemia. Na początku niezrozumiali i chaotyczni lecz z czasem lepiej wchodzą i sieją większe spustoszenie. Ich muzyka to stan permanentnego tornada. Momentami czujemy się jakby wrzucono nas do pudełka i trząchano nim ile sił a potem dostajemy w zęby zwalniającą i wybuchającą progresją. Amerykanie są nieprzewidywalni jak wybuchy na słońcu i w sumie mają zbliżoną charakterystykę. Ogólnie rzecz ujmując, jest to muzyka specjalistyczna. Kompozycje potrafią dobić do 9 minut. Są uzupełniane wszelkiej maści sprzężeniami i ambientowymi dobitkami. Generowany jest niepokój a wszechobecny szał nie pozwoli Wam odetchnąć.

Gigan wypracował sobie specyficzny styl. Zestawia natężenie z powtarzalnością a wszystko to zamyka mocarnym brzmieniem. Do tego ciągłe, techniczne zwroty akcji i wyuzdane solówki. Jest to bardzo konkretny materiał. Może męczyć ale kiedy się przyjmie to gwarantuje interesujące przeżycia. Z pewnością wymaga także otwartego umysłu. Potrafi przytłoczyć słuchacza więc trzeba mieć wypoczęty umysł. Na pierwszy rzut ucha, zdaje się, że jest tu dysonans kompozycyjny. Jest dużo wtrąceń, które stanowią esencję tego konceptu. Żeby go w pełni wyeksploatować, potrzeba wielu sesji. Jeśli natomiast nie chcemy zgłębiać jakoś specjalnie tej przestrzeni – możemy go potraktować jako niszczycielski kombajn stylistyczny. Polecam uzupełnić płyny i dać się ponieść. Ekstremalny, wysokooktanowy death metal poddający w wątpliwość sens istnienia i nie tylko. Polecam!

When I was growing up, death metal was happening all over the place. You had the continuing explosion of brutal death metal, the hay-day of melodic death metal, and the development of technical death metal. With such exponential growth, the bubble is always bound to burst. And it did. Oh how it did. Since then, most of the genres have become caricatures of their former selves. There is the occasional surprise here and there, but for the most part, these wells have gone dry.

And yet from the ashes, a new breed of technical death metal seems to be rising. Between groups like Ulcerate, Malthusian, and Portal; there seems to be a veritable geyser of untapped potential that is far from stagnant. Enter Gigan, a tech death band far removed from the endless waves of Dying Fetus clones. With a penchant for the progressive, and occasionally psychedelic, the latest album Multi-Dimensional Fractal-Sorcery And Super Science is as impressive as it is wordy.

The most basic thing about this album is probably the vocals. They are your typical death metal grunts and growls with the occasional retch for good measure. But Gigan’s “basic” is your average group’s 110%. Eston Browne will throttle the shit out of you. Each verbal assault is measured and calculated to be as crushing as possible. But let’s move on to the true stars here: Nate Cotton and Eric Hersemann. These cacophonous riffs and insatiable rhythms will have your head spinning like Lind Blair. Time signature leap from measure to measure while the guitar throbs, pulsates, and punctures.

And yet, for all of its chaos, Multi-Dimensional Fractal-Sorcery And Super Science is far from an unfettered freak show. This is “technical” death after all. Each wailing chord, each sweeping of the fretboard, each jarring tempo change is coldly calculated. There is a level of order that rivals the aforementioned Ulcerate, but within a completely different aesthetic. Foregoing a bleak, sandblasted blackness, Gigan occupies a massive obelisk in the cosmos. There are surprising amounts of hooks and memorable moments carrying each song through time and space.

Final word: this is some of the best death metal you will hear from the past few years. It's alarmingly technical, but not in the done-to-death (har har) traditional sense. There is a sense of the psychedelic, as well as a masterful churning of dissonance into melody and order. This is a supernova contained within a tesseract.

Każdy utwór urozmaica niekonwencjonalna wstawka, raz jest to dźwięk spawanego żelaza, czasem mamy wrażenie wsłuchiwania się w dźwięki kosmosu, lub psychodeliczny bełkot człowieka, a w wieńczącym płytę "Electro-Stimulated Hallucinatory Response" pojawia się przyjemna ambientowa partia. To najbardziej niezwykłe zwieńczenie podróży wśród wszystkich najbardziej oczekiwanych albumów niekonwencjonalnego death metalu wydanych w tym roku. Mogę jedynie mieć nadzieję, że ostatni kwartał 2013 roku przyniesie jeszcze jakąś niespodziankę, równie dobrą co "Vermis", "Colored Sands", czy "Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery and Super Science". Warto zapoznać się z tym tryptykiem lecz ostrzegam, po jego przesłuchaniu już nic w waszym życiu nie będzie takie same.

Gigan nie odpuszcza! Gigan atakuje ponownie ze zdwojoną siłą! Po intrygującym „Quasi-Hallucinogenic Sonic Landscapes” przyszła pora na Multi wymiarową magię fraktalną i super naukę. Przerost formy nad treścią? Oj nie, nie! Panowie tworzą ścieżkę dźwiękową do filmu o szeroko pojętej schizofrenii, zjadaniu ludzkich kończyn oraz wbijaniu gwoździ głową. Oni są jak epidemia. Na początku niezrozumiali i chaotyczni lecz z czasem lepiej wchodzą i sieją większe spustoszenie. Ich muzyka to stan permanentnego tornada. Momentami czujemy się jakby wrzucono nas do pudełka i trząchano nim ile sił a potem dostajemy w zęby zwalniającą i wybuchającą progresją. Amerykanie są nieprzewidywalni jak wybuchy na słońcu i w sumie mają zbliżoną charakterystykę. Ogólnie rzecz ujmując, jest to muzyka specjalistyczna. Kompozycje potrafią dobić do 9 minut. Są uzupełniane wszelkiej maści sprzężeniami i ambientowymi dobitkami. Generowany jest niepokój a wszechobecny szał nie pozwoli Wam odetchnąć.

Gigan wypracował sobie specyficzny styl. Zestawia natężenie z powtarzalnością a wszystko to zamyka mocarnym brzmieniem. Do tego ciągłe, techniczne zwroty akcji i wyuzdane solówki. Jest to bardzo konkretny materiał. Może męczyć ale kiedy się przyjmie to gwarantuje interesujące przeżycia. Z pewnością wymaga także otwartego umysłu. Potrafi przytłoczyć słuchacza więc trzeba mieć wypoczęty umysł. Na pierwszy rzut ucha, zdaje się, że jest tu dysonans kompozycyjny. Jest dużo wtrąceń, które stanowią esencję tego konceptu. Żeby go w pełni wyeksploatować, potrzeba wielu sesji. Jeśli natomiast nie chcemy zgłębiać jakoś specjalnie tej przestrzeni – możemy go potraktować jako niszczycielski kombajn stylistyczny. Polecam uzupełnić płyny i dać się ponieść. Ekstremalny, wysokooktanowy death metal poddający w wątpliwość sens istnienia i nie tylko. Polecam!

One of the most original, innovative, and futuristic death metal bands in the world has returned with a brand full length. A kaleidoscopic sound voyage that is at once musically complex and meticulously concise, Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super-Science dishes up eight hymns of cranium-twisting, hallucinatory brutality.



When I was growing up, death metal was happening all over the place. You had the continuing explosion of brutal death metal, the hay-day of melodic death metal, and the development of technical death metal. With such exponential growth, the bubble is always bound to burst. And it did. Oh how it did. Since then, most of the genres have become caricatures of their former selves. There is the occasional surprise here and there, but for the most part, these wells have gone dry.

And yet from the ashes, a new breed of technical death metal seems to be rising. Between groups like Ulcerate, Malthusian, and Portal; there seems to be a veritable geyser of untapped potential that is far from stagnant. Enter Gigan, a tech death band far removed from the endless waves of Dying Fetus clones. With a penchant for the progressive, and occasionally psychedelic, the latest album Multi-Dimensional Fractal-Sorcery And Super Science is as impressive as it is wordy.

The most basic thing about this album is probably the vocals. They are your typical death metal grunts and growls with the occasional retch for good measure. But Gigan’s “basic” is your average group’s 110%. Eston Browne will throttle the shit out of you. Each verbal assault is measured and calculated to be as crushing as possible. But let’s move on to the true stars here: Nate Cotton and Eric Hersemann. These cacophonous riffs and insatiable rhythms will have your head spinning like Lind Blair. Time signature leap from measure to measure while the guitar throbs, pulsates, and punctures.

And yet, for all of its chaos, Multi-Dimensional Fractal-Sorcery And Super Science is far from an unfettered freak show. This is “technical” death after all. Each wailing chord, each sweeping of the fretboard, each jarring tempo change is coldly calculated. There is a level of order that rivals the aforementioned Ulcerate, but within a completely different aesthetic. Foregoing a bleak, sandblasted blackness, Gigan occupies a massive obelisk in the cosmos. There are surprising amounts of hooks and memorable moments carrying each song through time and space.

Final word: this is some of the best death metal you will hear from the past few years. It's alarmingly technical, but not in the done-to-death (har har) traditional sense. There is a sense of the psychedelic, as well as a masterful churning of dissonance into melody and order. This is a supernova contained within a tesseract.

Reedycja 2024 debiutanckiego albumu Belgów z TARGET - Mission Executed. Old school speed / thrash metal!!!



You bet they did, and they even went way beyond the bullseye with the exquisite sophomore which brought all the chaos, both within and without, in unquenchable turmoil the guys finding their rightful place at the very top of the progressive/technical thrash movement right beside their compatriots Mekong Delta and Sieges Even with just a single album…

or so I thought initially misled by other metalheads until I found out later that the band were not Germans, but Belgians, and that they actually had another opus released earlier, the one reviewed here. No information about the style on that one anywhere, but my expectations were high, naturally; after all, we have an executed mission here, not a failed one.

The mission begins in “… The Andes”, of all places, with the short concrete blitzkrieger which establishes the dominant trend, vicious energetic Germanic speed/thrash modelled after the exploits of Darkness, Necronomicon, and early Deathrow the main difference coming from the vocal department where the guy acquits himself with both a cleaner more attached and spiteful, spat-out timbre. The assault is pretty much uninterrupted and this effort would be paradise for the headbangers who will also marvel at the lead guitarist’s dexterity the man providing not very long but effective screamy pyrotechnics all around. The guys gather more courage towards the end and summon the spirits of Helloween and Scanner for a rousing speed metal fiesta on “The Gathering”, the possible highlight here although both the only more technical exercise “Under Dominion (Of Death)” and the stylish diverse instrumental “Death Blow” are close contenders.

No, this project wasn’t anywhere near as masterful as the subsequent one, but the guys had their fun by emulating the feats of their German neighbours, quite faithfully at that, covering a wide gamut of influences from over there, not messing it up in the process, even managing to pass for Germans in some circles, probably cause they also signed with Ralph Hubert, the Aaarrg Records owner and the Mekong Delta mainman, who snatched the guys on the strength of the 1986 demo of the same title. Mentioning the demo, it contained five tracks neither of which found a place on the album here which was a pity as some of the material from it was clearly superior.

I’m not sure how deep Hubert got involved during the recording process the second time around, but the metamorphosis witnessed was just enormous, this “Master Project…” again being a milestone in the annals of progressive/technical metal all these years, coinciding with the miraculous transformations of other outfits like Living Death, Deathrow again, Destruction, etc. Yes, the time was quite propitious for such skin shedding the scene getting filled with more or less paralleled masterpieces coming from all sides, all those hitting the bullseye, or very close to it, raising the level of musical proficiency inordinately high.

I doubt if our friends here got scared of the swiftly-growing competition as they terminated their activities mere two years later. They refused to take any other missions, neither from Hubert nor anyone else, seemingly content with this fine double they produced, one which got beaten eventually by their compatriots Chemical Breath a few years later, but one that remains an early testimony of bravery and adventurism on Belgian soil, and not only… I mean, who else has dared to start their career from a treacherous, hazardous place like the Andes?

Występem należy delektować się z nabożnym szacunkiem, niczym swego rodzaju ultraprywatnym koncertem, na którym było się jedynym gościem. Tutaj nic nie jest zbędne: scenografia jest tak prosta, jak to tylko możliwe (żeby nie powiedzieć surowa), statyczne i minimalistyczne oświetlenie, a przede wszystkim brak efektów specjalnych w bardzo powściągliwej reżyserii Gillesa Pialata.
Tak naprawdę nic nie mogłoby odciągnąć uwagi od muzyki, która stanowi istotę tego DVD, znakomicie wykonanej przez, Jean-Luca i Thierry'ego, którzy włożyli w swój występ całe swoje ciało i duszę.
Fantastyczne połączenie żywiołowego, optymistycznego folku z różnymi elementami zaczerpniętymi z muzyki średniowiecznej.

Prawdziwa uczta!
