...SIŁA I PIĘKNO MUZYKI TKWIĄ W JEJ RÓŻNORODNOŚCI...

Menda to istniejąca od 2019 roku gdańska kapela street punkowa. Na ich debiutancki album „Tutaj nic się nie zmienia” trafiło w sumie trzynaście utworów, w tym jeden kawałek autorstwa giżyckiego Bachora. Wybór coveru nieprzypadkowy, ale też niczym nie zaskakuje, bo w oryginale to bardzo zbliżona stylistyka więc należy traktować ten numer bardziej jako hołd niż przeróbkę czy inną perspektywę interpretacji oryginału. W swoich tekstach Menda nie unika trudnych tematów, bo oprócz typowych dla gatunku imprezowych czy luźnych w szerokim kontekście klimatów mamy też poruszane poważne i aktualne kwestie społeczne chociażby takie jak przemoc domowa, pedofilia czy samobójstwa nastolatków. Taki konkretny, bez owijania w bawełnę przekaz jest dla mnie największą wartością płyty „Tutaj nic się nie zmienia”.

Od strony czysto muzycznej po prostu niczego wyjątkowego nie usłyszałem. To poprawny, ale jednak wtórny materiał, który niczym specjalnym na tle podobnych zespołów się nie wyróżnia. Z góry uprzedzam, że nie jestem jakimś wielkim koneserem street punka, dlatego też w moim odczuciu płyta Mendy jest skierowana przede wszystkim dla siedzących w klimacie. Fani takiej muzyki powinni być z albumu „Tutaj nic się nie zmienia” zadowoleni.
