Mary Christine Brockert (March 5, 1956 – December 26, 2010), better known by her stage name Teena Marie, was an American singer-songwriter, and producer. She was known by her childhood nickname Tina before taking the stage name Teena Marie and later acquired the nickname Lady Tee (sometimes spelled Lady T), given to her by her collaborator and friend, Rick James.

It was released on 8 November 1993 and features most of the band's singles released up to that point, along with two new tracks — "Shed a Tear" and "Cold Cold Heart" — which were recorded by Nile Rodgers at The Hit Factory in New York City especially for the album and were released as the album's singles. The cover photograph was taken at the same time. A re-release of the album also featured their biggest hit "Love Is All Around".
