ZZ Top (pronounced "zee zee top") is an American rock band from Houston, Texas, formed in 1969. The group consists of founder Billy Gibbons (guitar, lead vocals), Dusty Hill (bass, vocals) and Frank Beard (drums, percussion). Initially rooted in blues, ZZ Top's style has evolved throughout their career, with a signature sound based on Gibbons' blues guitar style and Hill and Beard's rhythm section. Their lyrics, often embellished with sexual innuendo, focus on their Texas roots and humor. Popular for their live performances, the group has staged several elaborate tours. ZZ Top formed after the demise of Gibbons' previous band, Moving Sidewalks. Within a year, they signed with London Records and released ZZ Top's First Album (1971). Subsequent releases, such as their first top-ten album Tres Hombres (1973) and the singles "La Grange" and "Tush", gained extensive radio airplay. By the mid-1970s, they had become renowned in North America for their live act, highlighted by their performances during the Worldwide Texas Tour from 1976 to 1977, which made them national stars and was a critical and commercial success. Following a two-year break after facing creative stagnation and exhaustion, ZZ Top reinvented themselves in the late 1970s with a new musical direction and public image. Beginning with their albums Degüello (1979) and El Loco (1981), they experimented with instruments including clavinets, saxophones, and synthesizers, while Gibbons and Hill grew long beards as part of their image. ZZ Top gained international favor with the records Eliminator (1983) and Afterburner (1985), which integrated influences from new wave, punk, and dance-rock, and established a more mainstream sound. The popularity of their music videos, including those for "Gimme All Your Lovin'", "Sharp Dressed Man", and "Legs", helped propel them onto the television channel MTV and made them one of the more prominent artists in 1980s pop culture. Their Afterburner Tour set records for the highest-attended and highest-grossing concert tour of 1986. After additional acclaim with the release of their tenth album Recycler (1990) and the Recycler Tour, their experimentation continued with the albums Antenna (1994), Rhythmeen (1996), XXX (1999), and Mescalero (2003), with mixed successes. The group most recently released La Futura (2012) and Goin′ 50 (2019), the latter of which is a compilation album commemorating the band's 50th anniversary. ZZ Top has released 15 studio albums and sold an estimated 50 million albums worldwide. They have won three MTV Video Music Awards, and in 2004, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone ranked Gibbons number 32 on its list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". Throughout their career, as a band and as individuals, they have supported several campaigns and charities, including Childline, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and a fundraiser for the Delta Blues Museum.

Buffalo Springfield's time was short they formed in 1966 and split in 1968 but their legacy was vast. Some of their legend was cultivated in the ensuing decades, after founding members Richie Furay, Stephen Stills, and Neil Young went on to fame either on their own or with such groups as Poco and Manassas, but much of it rested upon "For What It's Worth," a protest song written and sung by Stills, that not only became their Top Ten breakthrough in 1967 but their enduring anthem, eventually serving as shorthand for all the political turmoil of the 1960s.

This four CD box set takes the listener through the band’s chronological journey. Featuring demos, alternates, outtakes and studio masters. This reformatted box features the same audio content as the 2001 version.

Plastic Letters is the second studio album by American rock band Blondie, released in December 1977 on Chrysalis Records.
This is the second and final Blondie album to be produced by Richard Gottehrer. "Denis", a cover of Randy & the Rainbows' 1963 hit "Denise", was a hit all over Europe, reaching No. 2 in March 1978 in the United Kingdom, and also reached No. 19 in Australia. "(I'm Always Touched by Your) Presence, Dear" was the second single from the album, reaching No. 10 in the UK in May 1978. The song was written by the band's second bassist, Gary Valentine, shortly before he left for a solo career prior to the recording of Plastic Letters; his departure necessitated Chris Stein playing bass on the album, as well as guitar. During recording Blondie were still signed to their old label, Private Stock Records. The album peaked at No. 10 in the UK and has been certified Platinum by the BPI. The pink dress Debbie Harry wears in the cover art was designed by Anya Phillips.


Plastic Letters has been remastered digitally and re-issued twice: the first time by Chrysalis Records in 1994 with two bonus tracks, and the second in 2001 by EMI-Capitol with four bonus tracks. The latter issue features the earliest demo of the band's future hit "Heart of Glass", then known as "The Disco Song".

Blondie - Autoamerican [FLAC]




Autoamerican is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Blondie. It was released in November 1980[5] and reached No. 3 in the UK charts, No. 7 in the US, and No. 8 in Australia.
The album was a radical departure for the band, with opening track "Europa" setting the pace. The track is a dramatic instrumental overture featuring orchestral arrangements and ending with vocalist Debbie Harry declaiming a passage about automobile culture over an electronic soundtrack. Besides rock and pop tracks, the band explored a wide range of other musical genres: "Here's Looking at You" and "Faces" show jazz and blues influences, the reggae hit "The Tide Is High" was a cover of The Paragons' 1967 Jamaican ska hit, whereas "Rapture" combined funk, rock, jazz, and even saw them embracing the then emerging genre of rap. The closing track, "Follow Me", was a cover of a torch song from Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's 1960 Broadway musical Camelot.

Jej matką jest Lynette Parsons, a ojcem Aden Harman. Ma również dwójkę rodzeństwa − starszą siostrę Chloe i młodszego brata Richie'go.

W dzieciństwie trenowała piłkę nożną, jednak poważna kontuzja w szkole średniej pozbawiła ją możliwości dalszego grania. W wieku czternastu lat zaczęła pisać rapowe utwory i umieszczała je w Internecie, na forum fanów brytyjskiej grupy So Solid Crew. Dzięki temu poznała DJ-a Frampstera, z którym wkrótce zaczęła współpracować. Dwa lata później wyrzucono ją ze szkoły. Wzięła udział w serialu opowiadającym o młodych MC, dzięki czemu zainteresował się nią londyński producent Medasyn. Drugi album raperki, Jigsaw, został wydany w kwietniu 2009 przez wytwórnię Midget Records.

The Wallflowers to amerykański zespół rockowy założony w Los Angeles w 1989 roku przez piosenkarza i kompozytora Jakoba Dylana oraz gitarzystę Tobi Millera. Zespół przeszedł szereg zmian personalnych, ale nadal koncentrował się na Dylanie.

Po wydaniu tytułowego debiutanckiego albumu w 1992 roku Wallflowers wydali album, który stał się ich najbardziej znanym i najlepiej sprzedającym się albumem, Bringing Down the Horse w 1996 roku, na którym znalazły się utwory „One Headlight” i „6th Avenue Heartache”. Przed przerwą wydali jeszcze trzy albumy. W 2012 roku Wallflowers ponownie się wydali, aby wydać swój szósty album studyjny, Glad All Over.

Wallflowers zdobyły dwie nagrody Grammy: najlepszy rockowy występ duetu lub grupy z wokalem i najlepszy utwór rockowy za „One Headlight” w 1998 roku. „One Headlight” znajduje się również na 58. miejscu listy 100 największych piosenek pop Rolling Stone.
