Despite initially being the favorite to win, pop-soul singer/songwriter Ella Henderson finished in only sixth place on the 2012 season of the U.K.'s X Factor. However, she still secured a deal with Simon Cowell's Syco Music, becoming the series' lowest-ranked contestant to see her debut single enter the charts at number one.

Born on January 12, 1996 in the village of Tetney in Lincolnshire, England, Henderson developed a love of music early, teaching herself to play the piano before the age of ten. She won a scholarship to the prestigious Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, where she boarded until the age of 16. Almost immediately upon leaving school, she auditioned for The X Factor with her self-penned song "Missed." Winning a place on the show, she became a firm favorite to win but eventually lost out to rocker James Arthur in the public vote. Her departure from the show was considered one of the biggest upsets in its history, and launched a slew of celebrity tweets in her support. Simon Cowell obviously believed in her, for he signed her to his Syco label, after which she spent a year in the studio writing and recording her debut album. She worked with a number of big names including Babyface, Salaam Remi, and OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote her debut single, the big, beat-heavy, retro-soul "Ghost."

...SIŁA I PIĘKNO MUZYKI TKWIĄ W JEJ RÓŻNORODNOŚCI...

[Gdy obojętność jest przyzwoleniem, a przyzwolenie jest akceptacją, gdy akceptacja jest tłumaczeniem że sytuacja jest wyższa racją...]


Mnie niszczą wściekłe wokale wokalistki, głośny werbel i nośne riffy. No i co istotne - nie ma w tym jakiegoś downbeat, nie breakdownów, same krótkie strzały w starym stylu, chłoszczą po ryju jak pan kaczyński przykazał.
Numery krótkie, ale przy okazji to krótkie piosenki, a nie jakieś śmieszne hałaśliwe eksperymenty czy żarty. Wkurw na otaczającą rzeczywistość w formie dźwiękowej.

Panie i Panowie Limp Blitzkrieg!!!

"Walka o prawa musi być głośna" - takie stwierdzenie pada na początku albumu i jednocześnie definiuje go. "Koniec kraju Polska" to wbrew tytułowi nie ostateczne pogrzebanie nadziei, a właśnie nawoływanie do wali. Bardzo głośne nawoływanie do walki.

Dwa lata temu Limp Blitzkrieg przedstawiło się materiałem o zgrabnym tytule "Wypierdalać", a moje odczucia także w tym wypadku stały w opozycji do dosłownego rozumienia nazwy albumu, bo zamiast wypierdolić, wpierdoliłem się w tę muzykę po uszy. Tak naprawdę wpierdoliłem się jeszcze przed usłyszeniem któregokolwiek z utworów, bo Limp Bliztkrieg wygląda na piękną drwinę z Limp Bizkit - jednego z najgorszych zespołów w historii ludzkości. Freda Dursta i jego czerwoną czapeczkę da się jednak przełknąć, gorzej z jego rodakiem, który również ma słabość do czerwonych czapeczek, ale zasiada w Gabinecie Owalnym. Jego makro świat nienawiści ma polski odpowiednim na skalę mikro i - ja nie trudno się domyślić - "Koniec kraju Polska" obiera go za cel.

To hardcore punk - znacie zasady. Teksty są bezkompromisowe i dosadne, a ci, którym się obrywa pojawiają się nie tylko jako nawiązania czy cytaty, ich autentyczne wypowiedzi stanowią zalążki lub konkluzje wykrzykiwanych przez Asię wersów. Moim faworytem jest anonimowy (a przynajmniej mi nieznany) mężczyzna zasiadający na widowni jednego z programów TVP, który zaczyna wypowiedź od: Nie jestem ani antysemitą, ani ksenofobem, ani rasistą, ale... i właściwie cała reszta nie ma już znaczenia. Ja też nie czuję nienawiści w stosunku do Limp Bizkit, ALE...

Przekrój tematyczny jest szeroko zakrojony - polityka ("Cebulaki"), równość kobiet i mężczyzn ("Dobre rady" z gościnnym udziałem Siksy), prawa zwierząt ("Noruj myśliwego"), ekologia ("Więcej i więcej")... To wybór bezpieczny i oczywisty, kompilacja wszystkich ważnych tematów, o które lewa i prawa strona ścierają się od lat z coraz większą zawziętością, ale to do siebie możemy mieć pretensje, że te wszystkie kwestie wciąż są aktualne, że żadnej z nich nie potrafimy jako społeczeństwo definitywnie rozwiązać. Nie będzie więc nadużyciem stwierdzenie, że w Limp Blitzkrieg śpiewa się o tym samym, o czym wiele innych zespołów śpiewało, póki jednak funkcjonuje pozorna tolerancja (tolerancja, ALE...) warto nie odpuszczać i przypominać, że walka trwa. Warszawski zespół ma natomiast ku temu doskonałe predyspozycje, bo to nie tylko przesłanie, to także świetny, intensywny hardcore punk z utworami rzadko przekraczającymi dwie minuty, ale na tyle intensywnymi, że więcej wcale nie trzeba.

The Meters defined New Orleans funk, not only on their own recordings, but also as the backing band for numerous artists, including many produced by Allen Toussaint. Where the funk of Sly Stone and James Brown was wild, careening, and determinedly urban, the Meters were down-home and earthy. Nearly all of their own recordings were instrumentals, putting the emphasis on the organic and complex rhythms. The syncopated, layered percussion intertwined with the gritty grooves of the guitar and organ, creating a distinctive sound that earned a small, devoted cult during the '70s, including musicians like Paul McCartney and Robert Palmer, both of whom used the group as a backing band for recording. Despite their reputation as an extraordinary live band, the Meters never broke into the mainstream, but their sound provided the basis for much of the funk and hip-hop of the '80s and '90s.
