'Dla tych, którzy lubią śnieg i diabła' - takim hasłem reklamowała drugi duży album swoich podopiecznych wytwórnia Pagan. Katowicka formacja Furia to jeden z najciekawszych przedstawicieli polskiej sceny blackmetalowej. Wszyscy tworzący ją muzycy znani są również z grupy MasseMord.
'Grudzień za grudniem' zdaje się potwierdzać wysoką formę zespołu, której muzyka doskonale ilustruje surową, zimową aurę. Świetne polskie teksty, diabelska poetyka, udręczone wokale, zniewalający klimat, wielowymiarowość dźwięków o blackmetalowych proweniencjach; od drapieżnej dynamiki po akustyczne wyciszenie. Mroźna muzyka, a rozpala serca.




Już dawno straciłem jakiekolwiek resztki obiektywizmu opisując dokonania tego zespołu. Wiem, to nie jest zdrowe, żeby każde kolejne wydawnictwa danego zespołu przyjmować w pozycji klęczącej, ale Furia po prostu przyzwyczaiła mnie do takiej jakości, że inaczej po prostu się nie da. „Grudzień za Grudniem” to kolejny pokaz geniuszu Nihila i spółki. Tak, tak, dobrze czytacie, geniuszu! Ten materiał kolejny raz pokazuje, że Furia to już absolutnie klasa międzynarodowa, a w naszym kraju, oczywiście w swojej stylistyce, nie mają sobie równych. Furiaci w mistrzowski wręcz sposób łączą dzikość i agresję pierwotnego, archaicznego black metalu z elementami klimatycznymi i melodyjnymi.

Proste, galopujące w szale riffy mieszają się z rozbudowanymi akustycznymi pasażami. Wściekłość i nienawiść przenikają się tutaj w bardzo płynny sposób ze smutkiem i melancholią. Ładunek emocjonalny, jaki niesie ze sobą ta płyta jest ogromny. Pełno tu kontrastów, zmian tempa, często sprzecznych ze sobą stanów emocjonalnych, a mimo to płyta jest niesamowicie spójna i jednorodna. Zwarte i świetnie zaaranżowane kompozycje tworzą jedną, płynącą czarnym, zimnym strumieniem całość. Furia cały czas nieprzerwanie kroczy wytyczoną sobie przed laty ścieżką i, na całe szczęście, unika przy tym wtórności. „Grudzień za Grudniem” to materiał, choć bardzo dla tego zespołu charakterystyczny, to jednak nieco inny niż „Martwa Polska Jesień”. Słychać doskonale, że zespół się rozwija, idzie do przodu i nie stara się tylko powielać wymyślonych wcześniej patentów. Może z początku trochę trudno się przyzwyczaić do tych niewielkich zmian, ale gdy już człowiek ‘zaskoczy’, po którymś tam przesłuchaniu, to naprawdę nie ma już co zbierać...
No i cóż tu więcej dodawać? Jak dla mnie jest to jeden z absolutnych killerów 2009 roku...

Myślicie, że za oknem jest zimno? Posłuchajcie Furii. W sercach śląskich muzyków nawet w lipcu jest grudzień.

Furia zrobiła trochę uzasadnionego zamieszania w polskim metalowym undergroundzie wydanym w 2007 roku debiutem "Martwa Polska Jesień". Matka Natura jest jednak nieubłagana i po jesieni nadeszła zima - ich nowy album nosi więc tytuł "Grudzień za grudniem". Rzeczywiście, brzmi to jak grudniowy poranek. Nie w malowniczych górach. Żadnego słońca, sikorek i uśmiechniętych narciarek w kolorowych kombinezonach. Tylko stare, popękane domy, brud, smród, martwe kopalnie i zaspy czarne jak hałdy.

"Piekielnie ciepły w dłoniach / Śnieg czarny jak węgiel Ślonska [pisownia oryginalna - red.] / I w oczy ołów lany / Dymem hut chłodzony skwierczy" - oto jest piekło Furii. Żadne wymyślne podziemne krainy, żadne mitologiczne kreacje. Zero kostiumów, łacińskich cytatów i wymyślnych rekwizytów. To black metal, ale pozbawiony Boga, przeciw któremu mógłby się buntować i Szatana, z którym mógłby wchodzić w sojusze. Ich nienawiść nie ma celu, niczego nie załatwia, nie służy żadnej sprawie. Muzycy Furii dzielą nią demokratycznie wszystkich, cały świat, nawet samych siebie.

Furia to surowe, męskie, brutalne granie. Ale nie tylko. Proporcje pomiędzy złem wcielonym, a po prostu dobrą muzyką zostały tu odpowiednio wyważone. Bo mizantropia swoją drogą, ale słychać też, że kwartet ma wyobraźnię i niemało potrafi. Co udowadnia choćby w licznych epizodach akustycznych, albo kiedy zwalnia na chwilę kroku i gitarzyści mają czas i miejsce, by z chaosu dźwięku wysupłać kilka zgrabnych i melodyjnych riffów. Owszem, porównania - chociażby z Shining - nasuwają się same, ale w tej muzyce trudno o absolutnie oryginalną formę. Najważniejsze, że oryginalne są emocje.
