Pierwszy raz na CD!
Wydany w 1970 roku nakładem Capitolu, drugi album grupy to podobnie jak (tylko minimalnie lepszy) debiut to dla nas niesamowita sensacja i kolejny powód, że doskonałej, starej muzyki z najwyższej półki jest jeszcze sporo do odkrycia! Ten relatywnie (jeszcze) nieznany album to wyrafinowane i wpadające w ucho połączenie wczesnego prog-rocka, późnej, rockowej psychodelii, bluesa oraz ambitnego, barokowego popu. Procol Harum, The Beatles, Andwella's Dream, wczesny Traffic, Cream - to są nazwy do których można przyrównać muzykę tej niedocenionej formacji. Inżynierem dźwięku był Terry Brown - późniejszy producent najlepszych płyt Rush.
W 1972 roku zespół zmienił nieco skład, złagodniał, nagrał sympatyczny, bardzo przebojowy Last Song (nr. 3 w Stanach), potem megapopularny LP Edward Bear (1973) i stał się poprockową gwiazdą (i ulubioną grupą Quentina Tarantino), przez co wyśmienite dwa wcześniejsze albumy przez lata zostały zapomniane.

To nie jest brytyjski zespół, ale progresywna, nieco bluesująca formacja ze Stanów z jedynym albumem, wydanym przez Liberty w 1970 roku, a teraz wznowionym przez Flawed Gems. Amerykański Fantasy to bardzo eklektyczne połączenie psychodelicznej stylistyki ze szczyptą bluesa i jazzu oraz z typowo progresywnym (dość brytyjskim) wykonaniem! Dość długie kawałki, fajne sola gitary, wszechobecne, ciężkie tony organów Hammonda i żeński, bardzo fajny wokal! Typowy rok 1970!
No i niespodzianka... Okazało się, że pierwszy utwór z płyty Blues Creation/Carmen Maki ("I Understand") został skomponowany właśnie przez 16-letnią wokalistkę!

LP consisted a powerful collection of largely instrumental jazz blues-rock tracks with strong psychedelic and fiink influences with electric guitars, Hammond organ, electric violin and saxophone parts being backed by very busy rhythm section and strong, vocal of Joel Dayde.

This twisted musical mixture is pretty hard to describe, but it should appeal to the fans of Electric Flag, early Funkadelic, Chicago Transit Authority, early Family and Larry Coryell. It's worth noting that popular US vinyl version released by Mercury Records in 1970 (with the same cover design) was a compilation of tracks from first two albums.

Traffic to brytyjska grupa rockowa założona w kwietniu 1967 roku, utożsamiana z ruchem hippisowskim. W pierwotnym składzie występowali Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood i Dave Mason. Po dwóch latach i wydaniu trzech płyt - Mr. Fantasy, Traffic i Last Exit - nastąpiło pierwsze zawieszenie działalności grupy. Steve Winwood i Ric Grech, były basista zespołu Family, uformowali efemeryczną supergrupę Blind Faith, czasami nazywaną SuperCream, gdyż pozostałymi jej członkami byli Eric Clapton i Ginger Baker. W 1970 roku Blind Faith rozpadł się, a Steve Winwood i Ric Grech zasilili kolejną supergrupę - Ginger Baker’s Air Force - jednakże po kilku wspólnych koncertach Steve Winwood i Ric Grech postanowili reaktywować Traffic.
