Def Leppard (Rus. Def Leppard, distorted English. Deaf Leopard - Deaf Leopard) - British rock band from Sheffield, Yorkshire, England; formed in 1977. Over the years, their stylistic style has undergone a number of changes, moving from hard rock to glam metal.

Def Leppard debuted as the NWOBHM group with the album On Through the Night in 1980. The popularity of this group peaked in 1984-89, when their platinum albums, Pyromania and Hysteria, were released. Hysteria singles were the most successful in their entire career: Love Bites (1st place in the USA), Pour Some Sugar On Me (2nd place in the USA), Armageddon It (3rd place in USA).
