Bill Withers, właśc. William Harrison Withers Jr. (ur. 4 lipca 1938 w Slab Fork w Wirginii Zachodniej, zm. 30 marca 2020 w Los Angeles w Kalifornii) – amerykański wokalista, gitarzysta i kompozytor. Grał muzykę w stylu soul i pop.

Bill Withers kojarzony jest przede wszystkim z klasykiem „Lean on Me” oraz „Ain’t No Sunshine” (1971), „Use Me”, „Lovely Day” (piosenką, której cover stworzyła grupa Shakatak) oraz „I Can’t Write Left Handed”.

Bill Withers urodził się w 1938 roku w wiosce Slab Folk (okolice miasta Beckley) i tam dorastał. Po 9-letniej służbie w marynarce, przeniósł się do Los Angeles i w 1967 roku rozpoczął karierę muzyczną.

Debiutował albumem Just As I Am (1971), który zawierał jego pierwszy wielki przebój „Ain’t No Sunshine” (parę lat później Budka Suflera nagrała polskojęzyczny cover tego utworu – „Sen o dolinie”). Płyta zyskała status złotej.

Bill Withers zdobył 3 nagrody Grammy, był nominowany do tej nagrody siedmiokrotnie. W 2015 roku został wprowadzony do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Karim Fall, lepiej znany pod pseudonimem Lefa (ur. 28 listopada 1985 w Paryżu), to francuski raper i tancerz. Jest członkiem-założycielem francuskiego kolektywu rap/hip hop Sexion d'Assaut. Wydał także materiały solowe w 2015 i 2016 roku. W czerwcu 2015 roku wydał swój debiutancki solowy album Monsieur Fall z dużym komercyjnym sukcesem.

Urodził się jako syn senegalskiego muzyka jazzowego Cheikha Tidiane Fall, a jego matka była francuską choreografką i arteterapeutką Christiane de Rougemont. Dorastał w XVIII-wiecznej dzielnicy Paryża, a jego początki to breakdance.

Ściśle współpracował z artystami Black M i Gims, również członkami Sexion d'Assaut, występując na wielu ich albumach. Jego przyjaciel Maitre Gims nazwał go Lefa (francuski slang oznaczający jesień, nazwisko rodowe Lefy). Później, w 2013 roku, został ponownie wprowadzony do wzięcia udziału w ich trasie koncertowej w 2013 roku, ale w znacznie niższym tonacji, a Lefa zdecydował się bardziej skoncentrować na swojej pracy solowej. Lata 2015-2016 to prawdziwy powrót z wydaniem singla „Quelques minutes” w 2015 roku i albumu Monsieur Fall w lutym 2016 roku.

Yello – szwajcarski zespół, grający swoistą odmianę muzyki elektronicznej, tzw. electro-pop. Grupę tworzy dwóch członków: Boris Blank (odpowiedzialny za muzykę) i Dieter Meier (wokalista). Ich najbardziej znane utwory to Oh Yeah, The Race wykorzystane w wielu filmach (np. Uciekające zakonnice, Sekret mojego sukcesu, K-9) oraz temat pt. Jingle Bells z filmu Śnięty Mikołaj.

Yello założyli Boris Blank i Carlos Perón pod koniec lat 70. W 1979 roku postanowili dokooptować wokalistę. Ich wybór padł na Dietera Meiera – playboya milionera, którego niski głos dodał utworom Borisa Blanka wyrazistości. Ich pierwszy singel I.T. Splash został wydany w 1979 roku. W 1980 roku wydali debiutancki album Solid Pleasure, zawierający spory hit taneczny Bostich. Jednakże prawdziwy sukces odnieśli dopiero w 1983 roku singlami I Love You i Lost Again oraz ugruntowali go w 1985 roku wydaniem albumu Stella, zawierającego przeboje Oh Yeah, Vicious Games i Desire. W 1984 roku Carlos Peron odszedł z zespołu, aby skoncentrować się na karierze solowej. Ogromny sukces przyszedł w 1988 roku, kiedy wydali na singlu utwór The Race – do dzisiaj bardzo popularny w ilustrowaniu wszelkich filmów związanych z samochodami, wyścigami i rajdami. W latach dziewięćdziesiątych, zafascynowani współczesnymi twórcami muzyki elektronicznej, zmienili swoje oblicze na bardziej taneczne, nie rezygnując jednak ze swoich charakterystycznych dźwięków. Utworami takimi jak How How, To the Sea czy Planet Dada udało im się dopasować do obecnych trendów muzyki tanecznej.

Yello to oryginalny zespół, wyprzedzający swoje czasy. Już na samym początku opanowali techniki samplingu i loopów, tworząc własny styl będący mieszanką ambitnej elektroniki i popowego feelingu.

Meier zajmuje się także kręceniem filmów (wszystkie teledyski Yello zostały przez niego wyreżyserowane), napisał scenariusz i wyreżyserował filmy Jetzt und Alles i Lightmaker. Realizował także teledyski dla zespołów Alphaville (utwór Big in Japan) i Trio (Da Da Da).
