The third Carlos Santana solo album marks a surprising turn toward 1950s rock & roll and Tex-Mex, with covers such as Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love" and Chuck Berry's title song. Produced by veteran R&B producers Jerry Wexler and Barry Beckett, the album features an eclectic mix of sidemen, including Booker T. Jones of Booker T & the MG's, Willie Nelson, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Havana Moon is a light effort, but it's one of Santana's most enjoyable albums, which may explain why it was also the best-selling Santana album outside the group releases in ten years.

Founded in London in July 1967 (by ex-Bluesbreakers members, Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood), "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" instantly became a major force in the UK blues scene, along with their eponymous first album. English progressive rock group formed in 1971 with an original lineup of Andrew Latimer (guitar, flute, vocals), Peter Bardens (keyboards, synths, vocals), Doug Ferguson (bass, vocals) and Andy Ward (2) (drums. percussion). This lineup recorded the first four studio albums including their most commercially successful album, The Snow Goose, an entirely instrumental record released in 1975. It peaked at number 22 on the UK charts and is certified silver.

For the tour following the release of the band's fourth album, Moonmadness (1976), they were joined by former King Crimson sax player and flautist Mel Collins. In early 1977 Ferguson left and was replaced by Richard Sinclair (from Caravan) as the band moved to a jazzier sound. By the end of 1978 a series of personnel changes included the departures of Bardens, Sinclair and Collins and the additions of Colin Bass, Kit Watkins and Jan Schelhaas. Their seventh studio album, I Can See Your House From Here was problematic for advertisers due to the cover art: a crucified astronaut looking at Earth. It also marked Camel's return to the UK charts at number 45. The band had three further studio albums, a live album and numerous personnel changes before disbanding in 1984.

Latimer, the last original member, revived the Camel name in 1991. With various lineups four more studio albums were recorded by 2002. The band played a farewell tour in 2003. It was later disclosed that Latimer was ill and underwent chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant in 2007. He had recovered sufficiently to revive the band in 2013, recording a new version of The Snow Goose as a tribute to the late Peter Bardens. The band has toured regularly since 2013 and remains active.

Born November 10, 1947 in Dorset, England and died December 7, 2016. Greg Lake was a talented bass player and vocalist that got his start with the first iteration of King Crimson on the album "King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King (An Observation By King Crimson)", and after leaving the group later became a founding member of Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Born and raised in Dorset, Lake began to play the guitar at the age of 12 and wrote his first song, "Lucky Man", at the same age. He became a full-time musician at 17, playing in several rock bands until his friend and fellow Dorset guitarist Robert Fripp invited him to join King Crimson as lead singer and bassist. They found commercial success with their influential debut album, In the Court of the Crimson King (1969). Lake left the band in 1970 and achieved significant success in the 1970s and beyond as the singer, guitarist, bassist, and producer of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP). As a member of ELP, Lake wrote and recorded several popular songs including "Lucky Man" and "From the Beginning". Both songs entered the UK and US singles charts.

Lake launched a solo career, beginning with his 1975 single "I Believe in Father Christmas" which reached number two in the UK. He went on to release three solo albums with his Greg Lake Band with guitarist Gary Moore, recorded 1981 through 1983 (two studio albums, one live album), as well as collaborating and performing with other artists and with various groups in the 1980s, had occasional ELP reunions in the 1990s and in 2010, and toured regularly as a solo artist into the 21st century. He also sponsored other artists, producing their recordings and helping them to get recording contracts.[3] He also was a fundraiser for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. He died on 7 December 2016 in London, of pancreatic cancer, at the age of 69.
