Zespół HARLEM przez dziewięć lat nie pojawiał się na rynku z nowym albumem. Kilka było przyczyn tak długiej przerwy, ale 20 maja 2022, w dystrybucji cyfrowej i na półkach sklepowych ukazała się nakładem Agencji Muzycznej Polskiego Radia płyta grupy HARLEM „Nieznany świt”.

Kilka utworów z tej płyty już znamy, a przede wszystkim „Jestem tu” i „Crazy Town”, które pojawiły się na przełomie kwietnia i maja, jako dyptyk zapowiadający wydawnictwo.

To dwa, spośród dziewięciu nowych utworów grupy HARLEM. Przesłanie wszystkich świetnie charakteryzuje tytuł płyty: „Nieznany świt”. Nowe otwarcie w historii zespołu i dla każdego z muzyków, brama z przeszłości, przez dziś, do przyszłości.

Z pełnym rozmysłem zarówno na okładkach singli, jak i całej płyty jest to samo zdjęcie – drzewo, symbol siły i przetrwania w oczekiwaniu na nowe życie każdej wiosny. Jak grupa HARLEM, która przetrwała lata, zawsze z wiarą w kolejne przebudzenie.

Autorem większości kompozycji i tekstów tej mówiącej do nas różnymi kolorami dźwięków i obrazów płyty jest współtwórca i leader zespołu, gitarzysta Krzysztof Jaworski znany jako „Dżawor”. Udział w komponowaniu, a przede wszystkim aranżacji powstałych utworów mają też pozostali muzycy grupy HARLEM. Grającego na klawiszach Cezarego Kaźmierczaka łączy z „Dżaworem” wyjątkowe, zbudowane na podobnej wrażliwości muzycznej, porozumienie. Rytmiczna maszyna, którą tworzą grający na basie Stanisław Czeczot i perkusista Dominik Brzuzy-Jędrzejczyk gwarantuje, że w każdej chwili pulsuje wyjątkowa energia całego zespołu. Przejmujący wokal Marka Jakuba Weigela świetnie dopełnia partie instrumentalistów. W nagraniu płyty wzięło dodatkowo udział kilkunastu znakomitych gości, którym zespół jest niezwykle wdzięczny. Wspomnieć należy też koniecznie o pracy Marcina Gajko, który cały materiał zmiksował i zmasterował, nadając jego brzmieniu wyjątkowy charakter.

Dwa nowe teksty wyszły spod pióra właśnie Marka Jakuba Weigela, a dwa kolejne jednego z najlepszych polskich tekściarzy, Marka Dutkiewicza.

Stworzone ostatnio utwory uzupełniają na płycie bonusowo trzy znane wcześniej single, którymi przez dziewięć lat oczekiwania na płytę Harlem komunikował się z fanami: „Niebieski listopad”, „Tylko popiół, tylko dym” i „Mazurski wiatr” oraz okazjonalny „Polski blues”, który Krzysztof Jaworski skomponował do tekstu Bogdana Loebla na początku tego roku, by godnie wspomnieć i uczcić 15 rocznicę śmierci Tadeusza Nalepy.

Eugenio Gustavo Finardi urodził się w Mediolanie w 1952 roku jako syn Eloise Degenring, amerykańskiej śpiewaczki operowej i nauczyciela, oraz Enzo Finardi, inżyniera dźwięku pochodzącego z Bergamo. Eugenio, obdarzony wybitnymi zdolnościami wokalnymi, w wieku zaledwie dziewięciu lat brał udział w nagraniu płyty winylowej dla dzieci z sześcioma piosenkami pt. Palloncino Rosso fuoco, wyprodukowanej przez „Angelicum Frati Minori”. Dorastanie spędził między Mediolanem a domem matki w Bostonie, gdzie studiował anglistykę i amatorski teatr dramatyczny na Uniwersytecie Tufts w Medford (Massachusetts), uzyskując podwójny paszport włoski i amerykański.

Eugenio Finardi, oprócz wokalisty, kompozytora, a czasem także autora tekstów, jest także multiinstrumentalistą. Gra głównie na gitarze, akustycznej lub elektrycznej. Czasami gra również na basie, pianinie i elektronicznej perkusji. Wśród jego najczęściej używanych instrumentów są dwie gitary akustyczne, Taylor i Martin oraz kilka modeli gitar elektrycznych, w tym Fender Telecaster, Gibson ES-175, Gibson SG i „Finardi Rebelcaster”, ręcznie wykonany instrument zbudowany specjalnie dla niego , a także niektóre modele Epiphone, Ibanez i Vox oraz klasyczny model Fender Jazz Bass.

Finardi jest również znany ze współpracy z najlepszymi włoskimi sesjonarzami lat 70. i 80. Już żonaty z Patrizią, której zadedykował homonimiczną i słynną piosenkę z 1981 roku opublikowaną w albumie Finardi, miał z nią syna Emanuele i córkę Elettrę, urodzoną z zespołem Downa (autorka tekstów zadedykowała jej piosenki The Girls of Osaka i Inna miłość, obie w albumie Dal blu). Następnie, po kryzysie małżeńskim, rozstał się iw 1999 roku miał trzecią córkę Francescę z innym partnerem. Na początku XXI wieku poślubia swoją nową partnerkę, również Patrizię.
