The Shadows (pierwotnie znany jako The Drifters) był angielską instrumentalną grupą rockową, która zdominowała brytyjskie listy przebojów muzyki popularnej późnych lat pięćdziesiątych i wczesnych sześćdziesiątych, w epoce przed Beatlesami. Służyli jako zespół wspierający Cliffa Richarda od 1958 do 1968 roku i dołączyli do niego podczas kilku tras koncertowych.

The Shadows mieli 69 singli na brytyjskich listach przebojów od lat 50. do 2000., 35 przypisano Shadows, a 34 Cliff Richard and the Shadows. Grupa, która była w czołówce brytyjskiego boomu na beat-grupy, była pierwszym zespołem wspierającym, który pojawił się jako gwiazdy. Faust (angielski: „pięść”) to niemiecki zespół rockowy z Hamburga. Założona w 1971 roku przez producenta i byłego dziennikarza muzycznego Uwe Nettelbecka, grupa pierwotnie składała się z Wernera „Zappi” Diermaiera (ur. 1949), Hansa Joachima Irmlera (ur. 1950), Arnulfa Meiferta, Jean-Hervé Péron (ur. .1949), Rudolf Sosna (ur. 1946 - zm. 1996) i Gunther Wüsthoff, współpracujący z inżynierem Kurtem Graupnerem. Ich twórczość była zorientowana na dysonans, improwizację i eksperymentalne podejście elektroniczne i miała wpływ na późniejszą muzykę ambient i industrial.
