...SIŁA I PIĘKNO MUZYKI TKWIĄ W JEJ RÓŻNORODNOŚCI...


Na większość kompozycji składają się dźwięk gitary, z którą dzielnie radzi sobie Pablo, oraz jego głos. Próżno doszukiwać się tu brzmień klasycznego zestawu perkusji czy basu - zastępują je odgłosy klaskania, tupania, uderzenia w dziwne przedmioty. "Tylko" Pablopavo to osiem piosenek, które powstawały w latach 2011-2014 - trochę na marginesie pracy w sztandarowych przedsięwzięciach wykonawcy.


"Ej mistrzu, to jesteś k***a ty?!".

Odnoszę wrażenie, że Pablopavo z płyty na płytę (tych poza Vavamuffin) odziera swoje utwory z niepotrzebnych instrumentów, wypychając na pierwszy plan tekst, poezję ulicy. I gdyby przeczytać to zdanie jeszcze raz, wyszłoby na to, że w warstwie muzycznej na „Tylko” jest cienko i bieda piszczy. Bzdura. Tutaj jest przestrzeń, zaskakujące, bardzo wysmakowane aranże i czasem kompletnie nieoczywiste… instrumentarium. A na pierwszy rzut oka to płyta barowego gościa z gitarą, którego Pan Bóg pokarał umiejętnością przenikliwej interpretacji. To wszystko prawda, ale tylko do połowy. Bo w połowie butelki – jak śpiewa Pablo – jest najweselej. Drugą połowę tej flaszki stanowi Mothashipp, czyli Aleksander Molak, o którym trzeba wspomnieć nie tylko dla porządku. Mothashipp to producent „Tylko” i współkompozytor gdzieś tak… połowy materiału. Postać istotna, która błysnęła tu wielką klasą i elegancją w stosowaniu umiaru. Brawo! Należy się Nobel za takie obejście się ze szczerą i uliczną gitarą Pablo. I w takiej aurze objawiają nam się teksty naszego mistrza Polski w storytellingu (pas mistrzowski wywalczony zupełnie jeszcze świeżą płytą „Polor”!).
I żeby nie było, „Tylko” to nie żaden cień „Poloru”. Żadne tam odpady, odrzuty czy inne od-y. „Tylko” to kolejny szkic do portretu mniej fajnej strony miasta i galerii szarych postaci zapełniających go. A każda z tych postaci ciągnie za sobą zakurzone toboły z różnymi, często gorzkimi doświadczeniami. Szkic ostrzejszy niż ten z „Poloru”. Bliższa ciału koszula.

Klimat upiornie nudnych, rozedrganych nieznośnym upałem przedmieść ogarnia nas już w otwierającej płytę „Sobocie”. Trywialna scenka rozwija się w coraz bardziej poplątane relacje między sportretowanymi tu bohaterami. No i ta pustka po Marku Nowakowskim. Ten sklep i ten płot z „Soboty” mógł codziennie mijać ten upadły bokser w drodze do roboty na knajpianej bramce w „Ośmiu”. Dwunożna historia świetnie zapowiadającego się życia po nic. Taki los. To od tego boksera mógł przypadkowo brać ognia ten szewc co na tyłach dawnej stacji MPT, ten, od którego w „Toczeniu” usłyszymy to takie praskie „Się młody trzym”, kiedy odchodzi i zostawia nas z historią bez pointy i z papierosem w ustach. Ze szlugiem, z który palony jest już pod szpitalem na Grenadierów na początku „Mistrza”… A może to od życia uwalnia się tu wreszcie ten bokser z „Ośmiu”? Łącząc kropki możemy leniwym spacerem z głową pękającą od kaca brnąć zakurzonym brukiem aż zetnie nas mróz („Generał”).

Że ponure to wszystko? Że depresyjne? Że kończy się „czereśniami w formalinie”. No ponure, ale jakie piękne! Piękne, bo absolutnie niedopowiedziane. Bo tylko naszkicowane. Bo zabrakło czasu by z detalami opowiedzieć, bo już wypita wódeczka w trzewia uderzyła i tematy pomieszała, ostrość pięścią przestawiła. I zanim nieczysto uderzy kac, pójdźmy jeszcze z tą alkoholowo-romantyczną ckliwością w kieszeniach płaszcza w miasto… aż ktoś zaczepi krótkim „ej mistrzu, to jesteś ty?!”. Tak, to ja. To on. To Pablopavo.
I wybitna płyta, której nie zagra żadne radio RMF.
