Husker Du powstał w 1979, kiedy wokalista/gitarzysta Bob Mould, basista Greg Norton, wokalista/perkusista Grant Hart i klawiszowiec Charlie Pine zaczęli razem grać. Mould był wówczas studentem pierwszego roku w Macalester College i często bywał w sklepie z płytami, gdzie sprzedawcą był Hart. Z kolei Hart spotkał po raz pierwszy Nortona, gdy obaj składali podanie o tę samą pracę. Mould i Hart byli zagorzałymi fanami Ramones i po zwerbowaniu Nortona i Pine'a utworzyli zespół. Nazwa zespołu Hüsker Dü została zapożyczona od nazwy pamięciowej gry dla dzieci Husker Du? (popularnej w Danii i Szwecji w latach 60.). Husker du? dosłownie oznacza w językach duńskim i norweskim czy pamiętasz?. Znaki diakrytyczne użyte w nazwie grupy nie mają nic wspólnego z ortografią ani wymową, jest to tzw. "heavymetalowy pseudoumlaut". Mould w jednym z wywiadów przyznał, że przypadła mu do gustu tajemniczość słów, które wyróżniały się na tle innych nazw zespołów punkowych. Metal Circus to minialbum zespołu, wydany w październiku 1983 roku przez wytwórnie: Reflex Records i SST Records. Materiał nagrano w Total Access Recording Studios w Redondo Beach pomiędzy grudniem 1982 a styczniem 1983.

Body Count to amerykański zespół heavymetalowy założony w Los Angeles w 1990 roku. Liderem grupy jest Ice-T, który najpierw ugruntował swoją pozycję jako raper, później jednak utworzył nowy zespół z głównym gitarzystą Erniem C. Ice-T pełni rolę wokalisty i pisze teksty do większości piosenek Body Count, podczas gdy Ernie C odpowiada za pisanie muzyki zespołu. Wstawka zawiera ósmą, najnowszą płytę zespołu.

Po 2 singlach, czas na pełny materiał GF. Nostalgia za latami 80-tymi każe mi słuchać tej płyty na okrągło. Rekonstrukcja niemal doskonała. Jednak o ile w tamtych czasach kapele raczej szły na żywioł, tu mamy dużą dbałość o szczegóły, wystarczy spojrzeć na zapowiadający płytę klip, czy na oprawę graficzną całości. Mam duża nadzieję, że nie pójdą w ślady sztandarowych kapel z lat 80-tych, na których się wzorują i nie zaczną na siłę udziwniać i zmiękczać swej luty.

Bez kompleksów. Tak najkrócej można było określić podejście tej ekipy z Czechowic-Dziedzic. Hardcore / thrash / crossover / punk - wyszedł z tego pioniersko oryginalny miks, odróżniający ich od kapel raczkującej sceny d.i.y. hardcore punk.



Reedycja drugiego niezależnie wydanego w Polsce albumu winylowego.

A gdyby tak wejść do studio z prawdziwego zdarzenia?

Kolejny raz dzięki otwartości i przychylniości ludzi tworzących studio “Złota Skała” udało się na początku 1992 r. zarejestrować materiał na płytę “Pochodnia”, która została jednym z pierwszych wydawnictw niezależnych w kraju Smoka Wawelskiego. Tylko debiut Inkwizycji (“...Na Własne Podobieństwo” - NNNW1) ukazał się wcześniej... Pewna zażyłość z ekipą Gold Rock z głównym Goldrockerem na czele przetrwała najlepsze lata zespołu.

Ta płyta nie stała się wydarzeniem na miarę debiutu krakusów. Fascynacje Accused, Corrosion Of Conformity, a na “Pochodni” wyraźnie słychać również odniesienia do pulsacji Bad Brains – to nie całkiem było to, czego słuchały wtedy scenowe “masy”. Użycie harmonijki – na owe czasy było ruchem zaskakującym. Teksty poruszające ważkie tematy, nikiedy radykalne – nawet dziś, po ponad 3 dekadach, atakowanie świętości “nie przystoi”.

Do tego perypetie zespołu ze skompletowaniem składu, graniem koncertów... Wszystko to było niezawodną receptą na pozostanie na wieki w swojej niszy.

Po nagraniu kolejnego materiału “Odmienne stany swiadomości” (Enigmatic, 1997) zespół opuścił frontman i siła sprawcza zamieszania wokół kapeli – Tulipan. Z byłym wokalistą zaprzyjaźnionej czechowickiej Gangreny - Owskim zespół nagrał kolejne płyty, koncertuje do dziś, wykonując kilka starszych numerów.

Oryginalny nakład winyla wyczerpał się gdzieś pod koniec XX wieku, materiał wydany na split CD ze Schizmą “Energia” tez jest od dawna niedostępny. Stąd pomysł na przypomnienie tego wydawnictwa – okładka tym razem powstała na bazie projektu kasety (Prosiak / Krzysztof Owedyk jest autorem wykorzystanych oryginalnie ilustracji) – za opracowanie graficze odpowiada niestrudzony Petr (Underground Factory).

S.K.T.C. had no fear. The system changed, country was poor, possibilities were limited. But they loved fast, heavy and harsh music, so they stared a band, like thousands did earlier or later. Their sound, miximg hardcore / thrash / crossover / punk influences was unique at the time.

They recorded raw demo in 1990, which was out on vinyl some years ago. We put out the CD including also their high energy live set from the same year.

A year later they recorded „Pochodnia” (The Torch) album in famous Gold Rock studio. That was our 4th release – as the band existed on „start – stop – lineup change – stop and start again” basis it never became a classic of that time.

Now, the band is still active (with different members), releasing albums and playing from time to time. We decided to make a small pressing of vinyl and CD 25 years after the initial pressing had finished.

Mnie niszczą wściekłe wokale wokalistki, głośny werbel i nośne riffy. No i co istotne - nie ma w tym jakiegoś downbeat, nie breakdownów, same krótkie strzały w starym stylu, chłoszczą po ryju jak pan kaczyński przykazał.
Numery krótkie, ale przy okazji to krótkie piosenki, a nie jakieś śmieszne hałaśliwe eksperymenty czy żarty. Wkurw na otaczającą rzeczywistość w formie dźwiękowej.

Panie i Panowie Limp Blitzkrieg!!!

"Walka o prawa musi być głośna" - takie stwierdzenie pada na początku albumu i jednocześnie definiuje go. "Koniec kraju Polska" to wbrew tytułowi nie ostateczne pogrzebanie nadziei, a właśnie nawoływanie do wali. Bardzo głośne nawoływanie do walki.

Dwa lata temu Limp Blitzkrieg przedstawiło się materiałem o zgrabnym tytule "Wypierdalać", a moje odczucia także w tym wypadku stały w opozycji do dosłownego rozumienia nazwy albumu, bo zamiast wypierdolić, wpierdoliłem się w tę muzykę po uszy. Tak naprawdę wpierdoliłem się jeszcze przed usłyszeniem któregokolwiek z utworów, bo Limp Bliztkrieg wygląda na piękną drwinę z Limp Bizkit - jednego z najgorszych zespołów w historii ludzkości. Freda Dursta i jego czerwoną czapeczkę da się jednak przełknąć, gorzej z jego rodakiem, który również ma słabość do czerwonych czapeczek, ale zasiada w Gabinecie Owalnym. Jego makro świat nienawiści ma polski odpowiednim na skalę mikro i - ja nie trudno się domyślić - "Koniec kraju Polska" obiera go za cel.

To hardcore punk - znacie zasady. Teksty są bezkompromisowe i dosadne, a ci, którym się obrywa pojawiają się nie tylko jako nawiązania czy cytaty, ich autentyczne wypowiedzi stanowią zalążki lub konkluzje wykrzykiwanych przez Asię wersów. Moim faworytem jest anonimowy (a przynajmniej mi nieznany) mężczyzna zasiadający na widowni jednego z programów TVP, który zaczyna wypowiedź od: Nie jestem ani antysemitą, ani ksenofobem, ani rasistą, ale... i właściwie cała reszta nie ma już znaczenia. Ja też nie czuję nienawiści w stosunku do Limp Bizkit, ALE...

Przekrój tematyczny jest szeroko zakrojony - polityka ("Cebulaki"), równość kobiet i mężczyzn ("Dobre rady" z gościnnym udziałem Siksy), prawa zwierząt ("Noruj myśliwego"), ekologia ("Więcej i więcej")... To wybór bezpieczny i oczywisty, kompilacja wszystkich ważnych tematów, o które lewa i prawa strona ścierają się od lat z coraz większą zawziętością, ale to do siebie możemy mieć pretensje, że te wszystkie kwestie wciąż są aktualne, że żadnej z nich nie potrafimy jako społeczeństwo definitywnie rozwiązać. Nie będzie więc nadużyciem stwierdzenie, że w Limp Blitzkrieg śpiewa się o tym samym, o czym wiele innych zespołów śpiewało, póki jednak funkcjonuje pozorna tolerancja (tolerancja, ALE...) warto nie odpuszczać i przypominać, że walka trwa. Warszawski zespół ma natomiast ku temu doskonałe predyspozycje, bo to nie tylko przesłanie, to także świetny, intensywny hardcore punk z utworami rzadko przekraczającymi dwie minuty, ale na tyle intensywnymi, że więcej wcale nie trzeba.
