Zespół The Cure powstał w Crawley, a pierwszy raz na scenie wystąpili w 1978 roku. Do tej pory zagrali około 1800 koncertów, wydali 14 albumów studyjnych, ponad 40 singli, kilka filmów koncertowych, albumów live, utwory do ścieżek dźwiękowych, a także kilka książek. Przez 47 lat grupa miała 13 członków.
