Choć John Wetton jest często wspominany za swoją wirtuozerię w zespołach takich jak UK, Asia i King Crimson, a ta kolekcja podkreśla jego solową twórczość i występy na żywo.
Dla mnie to właśnie ten zestaw ukazuje to, co naprawdę czyniło Johna tak wyjątkowym:

Jego głos: Aksamitny, emocjonalny ton, który potrafił przekazać siłę, wrażliwość i namiętność jednocześnie.

Jego teksty piosenek: Jak powiedział kiedyś Oliver Wakeman: „Zwrotki Johna Wettona są refrenami, a jego refreny są na zupełnie innym poziomie”. Jego piosenki ociekają melodią i emocjami.

Jakość dźwięku: każde nagranie w tym zestawie jest znakomite.



Live in Osaka is essentially a best-of of sorts, as most of Wetton’s career highlights are featured in all of their high-decibel glory: “Sole Survivor”, “The Last Thing on My Mind” and “Battle Lines” are supplemented with “Easy Money”, “Rendezvous 6:02” and an enthusiastically executed “Heat of the Moment”. It’s a top-notch performance, even if Wetton’s voice sounds strained at times.
