Historie o tym, co się wydarzyło w Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, zostały przekształcone w lokalną legendę. Były ochroniarz Mike (Josh Hutcherson) i policjantka Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) ukrywają przed 11-letnią siostrą Mike'a, Abby (Piper Rubio), prawdę o losie jej animatronicznych przyjaciół. Kiedy jednak Abby wymyka się z domu, by ponownie spotkać się z Freddym, Bonnym, Chicą i Foxym, uruchamia to przerażający ciąg wydarzeń, który ujawni mroczne sekrety i uwolni dawno zapomniany koszmar.
