LOBOTOMY DEPT to fińsko-szwedzki industrialny projekt założony w 2016 roku przez Lasse (HOODED MENACE) oraz Rogga (PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER i dużo więcej). Poza uwielbieniem do wszystkiego co death’owego, thrash’owe i doom’owe muzycy ujawniają swoje zainteresowanie industrialem późnych lat ’80-tych i wczesnych lat ’90-tych spod znaku takich zespołów jak GODFLESH, MINISTRY, SCORN, NAILBOMB. Po stworzeniu kilku wspólnych deathmetalowych projektów oczywistym było, że dwaj doświadczeni gitarzyści powrócą do korzeni i stworzą coś na miarę w/w zespołów. Potwierdzeniem powyższego jest również fakt, iż jednym z wczesnych zespołów, w którym udzielał się Rogga był właśnie industrialny TERMINAL GRIP, podczas gdy Lasse eksperymentował z industrialnymi wpływami w późnej twórczości legendarnego PHLEGETHON. LOBOTOMY DEPT to właśnie powrót do tamtych czasów!



LOBOTOMY DEPT is a Finnish/Swedish industrial band formed in 2016 by Lasse of HOODED MENACE fame and Rogga from PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER and many more. Besides all things deathly, thrashy and doomy, these guys share an interest in the late 80's/early 90's style of industrial metal (think of GODFLESH, MINISTRY, SCORN, and NAILBOMB). So after collaborating on a few death metal projects, it was only a matter of time before the two would come up with something that leaned more on the industrial side of metal. Actually one of the early bands by Rogga was the industrial metal band TERMINAL GRIP and Lasse was experimenting with industrial influences on the very late PHLEGETHON material back in the early 90's. You could say LOBOTOMY DEPT takes them back in time to continue the work they started many years ago.
