Mamy do czynienia z niebezpośrednią kontynuacją Pathfinder: Kingmaker, klasycznego RPG-a z widokiem izometrycznym opartego na systemie papierowej gry fabularnej Pathfinder, który jest zmodyfikowaną wersją Dungeons & Dragons 3.5. Twórcy ponownie współpracowali przy produkcji z legendarnym weteranem branży, Chrisem Avellone?em, twórcą m.in. Planescape Torment i Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords.
Fabuła
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous nie kontynuuje bezpośrednio fabuły debiutanckiej gry studia Owlcat Games. Tym razem jako grupa śmiałków przemierzamy nowy, mroczniejszy region Golarionu, odwiedzając m.in. pustkowie opanowane przez demony, oblegane miasto krzyżowców oraz niebezpieczną Otchłań. Historia skupia się na walce pomiędzy dobrem (ludźmi i aniołami) a złem (demonicznymi sługusami lorda Deskari).
