Will Hoge urodził się i dorastał we Franklin w stanie Tennessee, położonym na południe od Nashville. Na jego brzmienie miał wpływ jego ojciec-muzyk i wujkowie oraz bogata kolekcja płyt, którą trzymał jego ojciec.
